Love how tumblr has its own folk stories. Yeah the God of Arepo we’ve all heard the story and we all still cry about it. Yeah that one about the woman locked up for centuries finally getting free. That one about the witch who would marry anyone who could get her house key from her cat and it’s revealed she IS the cat after the narrator befriends the cat.

it’s funny that people on twitter hate tumblr so virulently bc i get it if you are logging on for the first time in 2025 tumblr probably does suck. however i wouldn’t know because i have been carefully curating my dash experience and mutual circle since 2011 and my circle of tumblrinas taken by itself is the greatest social networking site of all time
I think it sucks that you have to go to so many different kinds of doctor to take care of yourself. It’s the 21st century. I should be able to go to a single office where they scan me with a big xerox machine and tell me what I’m allergic to and why my tummy hurts and if I have any cancer or cavities or if my glasses prescription has changed. And then I should get a sticker.

imperial jewels love being looted actually, its a vital part of their natural life cycle. you need to do it to them every so often or they will grow bored and start becoming destructive
Can people please stop spreading this rhetoric. They were pieces of art, created by skilled craftspeople, that were up until recently displayed in one of the most visited museums in the world for millions of people to see. Now they’re almost certainly going to be destroyed, broken up and sold in parts, or at best end up in the private collection of a billionaire.
I am loving the implication that “imperial jewels need to be stolen every so often because otherwise they get restless” is somehow a more prevalent and influential statement than “it is bad to steal things from museums”
