Can't stop thinking about astronomy by conan gray. It reminds me so much of jegulus. Like imagine after Regulus has gotten the dark mark and James feels betrayed so they break up. Just imagine the lyrics "We've traveled the seas, we've ridden the stars. We've seen everything from Saturn to Mars. As much as it seems like you own my heart. It's astronomy, we're two worlds apart." They just scream post break-up jegulus to me.
An add on to this when Regulus went and tried to destroy the locket and he does. James learns about his death in the papers and he can’t stop crying. He goes to his grave and keeps trying to apologize for how he acted but it was too late. Regulus is dead and he won’t be coming back. Imagine the lyrics with this, “Stop trying to keep us alive. You’re pointing at stars in the sky that already died. Stop trying to keep us alive. You can’t force the stars to align when they’ve already died.” It just hits too hard but I love it. I’m so tempted to make this into a fic now.
