Control media with the Google Media Controls

With Google Media Controls, you can control media that plays on:

• Google streaming devices (Chromecast, Chromecast Ultra, Chromecast Audio, Chromecast with Google TV, Google TV Streamer (4K))
• TVs and speakers that work with Google Cast
• Google Nest and Home speakers and displays

To access Google Media Controls, your mobile device must be connected to the same Wi-Fi as your speaker, display, or streaming device.

The controls list up to 4 casting devices. If you cast on more than 4 devices at once, you won't be able to access all of them.

Check if your mobile device is supported

• This feature may not be available on certain iOS versions.
• This feature isn't available on Android devices. Learn to cast media control notifications using Android devices.

Use the controls

1. Open the Google Home app .
2. Tap the current media session.
3. Tap Pause , Play , or Stop to control what's being played.
