“These new shows are just too expensive to make!” cry the people in charge of the choices that make shows too expensive to make
I watched a bts clip on ST: Picard about how expensive things were and that’s why we get such short seasons now then the next clip was about how the starship prop models were plated in real gold.
Okay so step one: don’t plate props in actual gold. This will save at least several dollars.
i hate that "femboy" is becoming a normalized thing to call people, it's really only marginally better than trap but some gnc cis men and transmascs are trying to "reclaim" it despite it not being theirs to reclaim because they want to use a word that feels gender affirming for them but was used specifically to misgender trans women, they may as well be calling themselves "ladyboys" or "shemales" or any other number of porn terms for trans women that deny them their womanhood
i’m so tired of seeing cis men and transmascs calling themselves femboys, especially the ones that don’t do sex work, like, i can almost excuse the sex workers because it’s a fetish term that helps them do seo or whatever but it’s not theirs to use, the origin of femboy is to deny trans women’s identities while okaying men to jack off to them, it’s disgusting that gnc men and transmascs are using a transmisogynist porn term to self identify because it does exactly what it was designed to do: acknowledge feminine presentation while denying womanhood
St. Juste, Nanako and Kaoru-no-Kimi from Oniisama e (Dear Brother)!
[image description: fanart of rei, nanako, and kaoru from oniisama e. rei and kaoru stand on either side of nanako, with rei wrapping her arm over nanako’s shoulder as she pensively smokes a cigarette. nanako holds onto rei’s arm with a concerned expression, but she is also blushing. kaoru raises a hand to her face with an anxious frown, sweat dripping down her face as she looks over to rei out of the corner of her eye. they stand in front of a stained glass window.
the second image is a close-up on the characters’ faces. end description.]
Y'know how they say a child writes the best poetry before they learn what poetry is "supposed" to look like? I think a visual artist makes the best visual art before they learn how well it would sell if they made an enamel pin of a possum saying "be gay do crimes"
