I need P-Valley back so bad. Black queer rep with actual character relationship and development, Black strip club culture, DARK SKINNED Black women in lead roles and the majority of the overall story. The majority of the cast, major and minor, dark skinned and we love it. I keep Lil Murda's "Fallin" in rotation still 😭😭😭😭
The only sin this show had was being on goddamn STARZ of all places π but every clip Iβve seen, I just be like these are the most BEAUTIFUL and talented women I have ever seen π and Uncle Cliffordβs fits all slap fr?? One day imma get it on the Plex and sit and binge it. But all of my peers LOVED P.Valley. so itβs not like thereβs not an audience to watch it! Itβs not like Black queer folk donβt have fun stories worth telling!

I've recommended this one before, but for all the non-human vertebrate likers out there... the art of animal drawing
"And we shall have to do more than register and more than vote; we shall have to create leaders who embody virtues we can respect, who have moral and ethical principles we can applaud with an enthusiasm that enabled us to rally support for them based on confidence and trust. We will have to demand high standards and give consistent, loyal support to those who merit it.
We will have to be a reliable constituency for those who prove themselves to be committed political warriors in our behalf. When our movement has partisan political personalities whose unity with their people is unshakeable and whose independence is genuine, they will be treated in white political councils with the respect those who embody such power deserve...
We will have to learn to refuse crumbs from the big-city machines and steadfastly demand a fair share of the loaf. When the machine politicians demur, we must be prepared to act in unity and throw our support to such independent parties or reform wings if the major parties as are prepared to take our demands seriously and fight for them vigorously. This is political freedom; this is political maturity expressing our aroused and determined new spirit to be treated as equals in all aspects of life."
Where Do We Go From Here; Martin Luther King Jr.
(spoken in context to the first of what MLK determined was the Negro community's three major political weaknesses, the "manner in which our politicians emerge").
"In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends."
MLK Jr.
Look, Martin Luther King was saying it's the action that delivers long before I was 🤣🤌🏾🔥 We don't know what you think, we can only base that on what you do. And if you see injustice and do nothing, say nothing, or change nothing...
