by the way I once said that gerson in deltarune is basically an authorial self insert of toby fox encouraging our creativity and telling us to go forth and write our own stories including derivative ones of his work and other works and telling us cringe is not only dead but it never really existed, and that titans are a manifestation of the worst tendencies that crush creativity and kindness as a form of self doubt (ralsei referring to it as the shadow of the mind, the bump in the night) and by having an author help shatter that, it's telling us to go forth with our own creativity wholesale no matter what
