[What Is DeltaRoads One May Ask?]

DeltaRoads is a AU made by me that combines the story and world of Deltarune with that of Cassette Beasts. It takes place on New Wirral, like in Cassette Beasts. However, the landscapes and towns take on after the areas in Deltarune. And there are also more islands that are near New Wirral. The monsters from Cassette Beasts still exist, and the whole thing with cassette recording is still around. There's just a lot of Deltarune related stuff mixed in to get the wackiness that is DeltaRoads!

The plot still happens in the same way Cassette Beasts does (main character finding all archangels in order to piece together how to get home, befriending people along the way), but there are side plots involving the archangels that bring it back to being Deltarune; with them involving explorations of these places and eventually encountering the 'final boss' of that story.

its almost comical to me how i so often feel like "OH MY GOD I NEED TO TALK ABOUT THIS OR ILL DIE!!!!!! I NEED TO TALK ABOUT THIS AU NOW OR ILL DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and then when i get the opportunity to talk i IMMEDIATELY freeze up. This is nobody's fault but my own, by the way, i dont know why my brain works this way.

heeh, another Umbraswap related post cause I needed to doodle Tenna after figuring some plot stuff out (as a lil treat for myself mainly)

Last doodle is related to Tenna's equivalent to Spamton's puppetification in the AU. Which, as far as I'll share rn via a TLDR, lead to the majority of him turning into a shadowy mass. Benefactor bs lead to all his internals turning into sludge; and his limbs, tail, antennae and screen were soon to follow after getting cleaved, shoved to the ground, and blacking out (this shoving did lead to the belt buckle crack as well as Tenna fully losing his screen face). It was a long yet painful experience for him all throughout.

Thinking of either writing a fanfic or making a comic that shows this shift happen and properly contextualizes that TL;DR (feel free to let me know which one may be more interested in. I'm a lil curious about such)

Now I did get a little inspired by what Spedles has shared for their Swap Tenna's downfall as of rn (it has done some psychic damage OUGH /pos), BUT I did have the general idea of shadow mass transmutation being a key part of Tenna's transformation ever since I properly designed him (since it ties into the themes I want to explore with him in the AU); that doodle from them just gave me a bit of inspo on how to properly execute the transformation so that it made sense.

idk if anyone else has had a similar feeling pop up before, but you ever just get a small lump of fear that someone out there is gonna tear you to shreds because your design interpretation of a character isn't like what the majority of the fanbase does? bonus points if there is little to no variety out there ough

like i'm sticking with what i got for this one character i doodled for the first time, but i feel like there's gonna be a guy who just appears and ruins the joy and whimsy of it. let me be a lil guy who adds something somewhat unique into the pool >:/

(btw I am not hating on those who do what the majority of the fanbase does. it's just, sometimes it would be cool to see more variety with certain character iterations. especially when other characters get variety to them)
