i do feel silly sometimes complaining about us-centrism online when im european like i hope nobody thinks i want things to be europe centric either. if anything i think we should pass the torch to brazil. theyve earned it.

that muppet post reminded me, most if not all of the main muppets have twitter pages. Fav has gotta be Miss Piggys, which is filled with selfies and vaguely uplifting text thats also egocentric. all the comments are people complimenting her and being like “YAS QUEEN”

Close second is Gonzos. Which is just…unhinged

I think one of the things Mike Pondsmith and his team did really well when writing Cyberpunk (the universe from the tabletop and by extent 2077) was developing slang that works well. It feels natural and not forced because they studied language patterns and how language evolves, and applied that.

Calling your friends “choom”? That not only feels natural, but it’s something people actually do irl (according to Pondsmith, at least).

Are there other examples that don’t really work? Yes. Gonk is one of those. But over all? Top tier slang.
