hsr & wuwa really make me conversely appreciate zzz’s physics and character animations. they’re so much more dynamic, realistic, lively. the expressions, the way the eyes move (rather than staying completely still like in hsr), how the clothes fit/move on the body (separately from it).
hsr’s animations are soooooo so stiff in comparison. and the clothes are mostly connected to the 3d models themselves— meaning that, for instance, what should be tight fabric stretches as a character’s chest rises and falls. it just looks weird and lazy.
and while zzz’s jiggle physics are uh, too much sometimes, at least they make more sense than the characters in wuwa & hsr, whose breasts move up and down when the character is completely stationary… 😭. (maybe zzz is guilty of this somewhat too, but there’s just a notable difference. ykwim)

im playing hsr myself for the first time. i just reached amphoreus. however, i kept up with the main story ever since 3.0 (by watching people’s playthroughs)— meaning i’ve seen all of amphoreus. i was very invested in the lore, so i know the truth about everything. that being said,
it being a virtual space is already noticeable. how could one woman split into 3(+) alternate versions of herself? it’s exactly like the tingyuns in penacony, or wonweek. this shouldn’t be possible normally.
answering past me’s questions about penacony from before i played hsr myself:
1) do robin and firefly actually die…. what
nope. they’re simply transferred from the regular dreamscape to the primordial dreamscape by a memory zone meme called “Death”, which is actually named “Dormancy”. and in reality, they are safe and sound.
2) what was the thing about robin losing her voice?
the harmony in the dream was discordant. it was affected by traces of the order. thus, her voice (harmony) was affected
3) why did robin stay in penacony or whatever? was she stuck in the dream bc she was dead or smth?
no. she was alive, it’s just that sunday was demoted as the oak family head, and robin was appointed in his stead. that’s why she stayed and sunday was able to leave with the express.
(planar ornaments for fugue are temporary, still gotta get her lc to 60, and gotta wait till next week to expand traces)
with harmony’s ties to the trailblaze… what if xipe also absorbed akivili? (making them their third face?) idk, just a thought. the express crew’s will and bond in penacony was so strong it even drew xipe’s gaze, and mikhail’s legacy ended up kinda representing harmony? despite being the trailblaze.
edit: although, tbh, ive wondered for agood bit if the propagation became their 3rd face. idk though.
I feel so insane about ai. I’ve had face-to-face conversations with people who use it for therapy, who use it to calculate the safety of pill interactions, who use it for all their emails and grant applications and legal documents and academic papers and finance sheets and for every single question they have about the world, and if you tell them about the ecological costs they just laugh and say “I guess I’ve used a lot of water.” and I’ve been in multiple gatherings of 10+ people where I’m THE ONLY PERSON who doesn’t use chatgpt. it’s turning me into a ranting raving pariah, because how don’t you people see??? why don’t you understand??????? this bullshit didn’t exist five years ago, you absolutely do not need it, and it is destroying everything
