In lieu of a discussion this month, we will be repeating our extremely popular activity from last January: a giant fortune-telling session for the coming year. 🔮
Bring a divination tool for a big, participatory group reading on how we can prepare individually and as a community for the year ahead of us. Tarot decks are welcome as are any other library-friendly methods you prefer. 🃏
Please plan to wear a facemask for the duration of the gathering. 😷
The Kingston Public Library meeting room has a capacity of 15, and last year we had over 20 attendees, so we encourage folks to arrive on time in order to ensure there is still space. We do not want to turn anyone away but it is possible we will have to! 😓
We are also in search of a new home for our meetups - Blackbird has closed to the public, and the Library cannot accommodate recurring meetings, and so we are without a venue for our February convening. Please let us know if you have a space we can use! ☕

i say this in the most loving way possible some of y'all really need to acknowledge that your spiritual experiences aren't factual or gospel
this goes double for if you have a high follower count. i'm sorry you are not a modern day prophet or the cure to anyone's spirituality ails. you are dangerous if you treat your experiences as anything more substantial than just that, an experience. you are not any less susceptible to spiritual bias (or any other bias) than anyone else.
thinking about getting a marked-down box of candles after Hanukkah and using them for a Spell-A-Day challenge in January-February. menorah candles come 45 to a box and getting nice soy or palm wax ones isn't very expensive. obviously I am not going to pick them up before the holiday is over, I want them to be available for people who need them, but once it's over, candles is candles. they burn just the right amount of time for a small working.
this idea came to me in the shower. i shall continue to ponder.
