^^^ This. The COMBINED population of the Twin Cities (Minneapolis and St. Paul) is only about 2.6 million. That's not small town numbers, sure, but compared to NYC (20.1 million in the metropolitan area)? LA? (12.9 million "")?
Minneapolis is being made an example of because they're the most bitesized target, and if you're doing a shock and awe campaign like this you need to not choke on national tv.

Just as a side note, ICE raids are currently also happening in Columbus OH- which is double the size of Minneapolis but still much smaller than Chicago or LA.

Renee Good was shot less than two miles from George Floyd Square. (I live between the two points. It's about six blocks to George Floyd; two to where Renee Good was shot.) Her killer Jonathan Ross was a local boy. I will probably die convinced that he shot her in that place intending to spark riots that could then be forcibly suppressed by the feds.

one thing i did run into a few times just grazing the latest dishwasher research is that you gotta clean the rubber seal. its full of gunk apparently. every study on dishwasher cleanliness was like "CONCLUSION: although dishwashers present an almost complete solution to the ongoing issue of kitchen bacterial and fungal contamination, offering [some insanely high number] times higher reductions of dangerous biologics in the home kitchen environment, some pathogens in the kitchen environment can be reduced even further. The gasket is that rubber thing around the door of your dishwasher that creates a seal. You can usually pull that out with a little bit of force. Soap, rinse, sanitize, and then pop it back into place. Takes about 5 minutes
