The Ramblings Of A Tired Introvert

@theramblingsofatiredintrovert

Don't expect much from this account except for sleepy ramblings, happy art and random fandom stuff.

This moment in movie making feels like a good time to remind you that an incredible Romeo and Juliet adaptation that features the hot priest from the new Knives out as Romeo and the wife from Hamnet as Juliet is available for streaming on National Theater at Home which is only $12 a month (and no ads!!!!). I just watched it and it's honestly phenomenal. Definitely my favorite Romeo and Juliet adaptation I've ever seen.

I'm rewatching the Unsleeping City but because my mind is still in 2025 watching Brennan endorse Zohran my brain keeps expecting Zohran to show up in the show about loving New York??? Because of course he knows some of the characters or like Misty Moore probably knows his mom from the theater/drama world or something. If it were redone today I could totally see this happening... I might need sleep...

Season 3 starts with jinshi falling ill, trying to keep going, staying strong so he looks cool in front of MaoMao, failing miserably and collapsing eventually. MaoMao is on the case of course, no one poisons her man, the audacity, it must be a high ranking whatever, political intrigue, high stakes. The drama. The angst. The realization that she's passively poisoning him with her kisses after she eats poison herself. She washes her mouth between meals and making out, finds the antidote for the weird mix of symptoms she accidentally gave her boyfriend. They live happily ever after.

There's a mildly successful aitah podcast based in my city with five members. So far I've seen 3 of them in public and I've never approached them because I learned from New Yorkers, you don't approach celebrities. I'm in the Midwest, but the ones hardened by the big city said no, so I mind my business like a true New Yorker.
