My new tattoo

I healed very quickly postpartum and I’m honestly angry about it. For me it felt like my body was trying to forget my son

Now it never can

Does anyone else ever just

Acknowledge how actively fandom impacts your perception of music…?

Like, generically speaking, Animal I have Become. Don’t tell me your immediate thought isn’t angsty anime characters

But like. I personally have no idea what Three Days Grace is actually singing about. I can make an educated guess, but my brain has rotted to automatically associate this as the Angsty Anime AMV song that I have no concrete concept of what the band was trying to portray with it

Or the fact that there are people out there who hear this song and do not associate it with anime

And that still happens to me to this day. I’ll hear a song off of an animation meme and just learn to associate it with OCs and then realize later on that the singer most likely did not intend for this particular interpretation

i kind of hate that whenever something impacts sex work/pornography/etc people go “theyre gonna use this as a stepping stone to censor things that REALLY matter!” like sex workers arent fucking people that need money to live

Was told that my last animated short isn’t gay enough, so I’m gonna have to fix that

It’s time

These two have been my banner for a few years now, there’s no reason to keep putting off their story

Have some concept art for my newest WIP — The Siren and the Succubus

This will be both an animated short as well as part of the picture book I’m working on (and also part of my visual podcast, recycle…recycle…)

I’m very excited to finally share these two with everyone! They’ve been very dear to me for a long while

Nauseating, by the way, just how prevalent abstinence-only ideology seems to have completely washed through people like. It’s just common now for some shithead to show up like “you think it’s normal for teenagers to watch porn? 😬” Yeah actually it is one of the most historically well-understood axioms of teenagers that they are horny all the time because of puberty. They’re literally in the process of sexual development, their bodies are building and testing the hardware for sex.

Of course every person is different and there’s a full spectrum of sex drive among teenagers, but if you’re seriously expecting most teenagers not to masturbate until they turn 18 you are living in a fantasy. Sex isn’t evil!!!!!! Sex isn’t damaging!!! Sex is not toxic or harmful!!! Sex is just sex, and whether or not something constitutes sexual abuse or sexual harm has more to do with what makes something abusive or harmful, and little to do with how sexual it is.

Also, the idea that children seeing porn is how sexual abuse happens is fully based on gut-disgust reactions and has genuinely nothing to do with the realities of the factors that actually give rise to sexual abuse. Of course it should not be possible or at least likely for kids to just accidentally stumble into porn, but that’s true in general; nobody wants to be jumpscared with porn when they’re trying to do some other shit. If some non-adult is out there seeking out sexual materials, all that matters is that they’re keeping it to themselves and not trying to engage strangers online about it, and that they have a solid foundation of sexual education and media literacy on which to make smart, healthy decisions while doing so.

Sexual development, like all development, happens over time, and starts before adulthood. We need to accomodate the reality that exists, no matter how uncomfortable that reality is. Trying to push to make it impossible for teenagers to see porn is just divorced from reality, and the basis for trying to do so is anti-science. Figure out how to deal with it.

Folks forget how common a trope it was in movies from the 70s and 80s that the teenage boy would have a stack of racy or explicit magazines under his bed, or for teenage girls to swoon over the muscular lifeguard climbing or if the pool/ ocean. The awkwardness of “The Talk” in 90s media came up all the time and generally was a call from the parent for the teenager to be careful, rather than it being treated as SINFULL. Teenage sexuality was treated as funny because it was embarrassing for kids to get caught or be taught about it, but it wasn’t this taboo subject that masses of people would jump to calling pedophilia.

I donated my book to another library!!

It’s local, so won’t be on Libby, but it’s another privately funded queer library

Those seem to be the only ones willing to take my books

Moral of the story: write only queer novels

Oh it’s just so nice to not have to worry about writing my novel anymore

Like I was on it with “The Vampire Painter”, I wrote every single day even if I was sick

But depression hit me hard this year for obvious reasons so it was just not something I was able to do with this novel. I think the longest break I took was a week in between updates because I’ve learned regular routine works best for me personally

But it would weigh down on me. Everyday I would guilt trip myself either into writing or feel bad about not writing. It felt like a chore more than anything

And now it’s done! I don’t have to worry about writing it anymore! I’m taking a short hiatus for the rest of the month so I can go in with fresh eyes for editing, but that’s the easier part!

Every once in a while I think to myself “oh let’s open asks back up so I can get fun anons like I used to fifteen years ago!!”

But I always get bots. Always

i think the most upsetting thing about american-flavor puritanism is how fucking patronizing it is. it’s 2026 but the whole world still has to deal with a cultural hegemony grown from the gnarled vestiges of victorian-era paternalism. tax-paying adults with passports and the right to vote are treated like wayward children because of the antiquated idea that authorities must protect the weak minds of the unwashed masses from depravity and corruption. the average american can send a fellow citizen to the chair, but they can’t piss in a ditch without being declared an outlaw. american entertainment media is saturated with sex, but you can’t talk about it online without getting your account suspended. it’s such blatant censorship at a universal scale, but because sexual content is framed as inherently dangerous, this restriction on basic adult autonomy, this blanket denial of moral and intellectual adulthood, can be reframed as protection, an expression of care, a moral duty. “won’t someone think of the children!” I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN! I AM A GROWN MAN!
