Okay, so the vans and I have some beef, and i want to know who’s more validated here.
When you get into the driver’s seat of a car to drive it, you …
… buckle up, then turn on the engine
… turn on the engine, then buckle up
I use remote start only
Vanilla extract and bald people don’t drive
If you use remote start the majority of the time -not all the time-, choose the option of what you do when you don’t.
If you do a mix of both, try to figure out which one you do most.
I don’t care about what other rituals you have that may happen between the two. I care solely about which of the two comes first.

i just saw a post on reddit titled “the writer is cooking but the food doesn’t agree with me” and it was about OP clicking off a fic because they don’t like the direction it’s going in. slightly different context but can we all be more like this reddit OP. i think “the writer is cooking but the food doesn’t agree with me” should be the new “don’t like don’t read.” dead doves may give you diarrhea but don’t make that everyone else’s problem.
this is a great way to frame it lol like just bc i’m lactose intolerant doesn’t mean i should leave a bad review on the ice cream parlor

You know technology literacy is dying because I saw this meme with 76k likes
F11 the full screen button? You’re scared of the full screen button? F10?? It opens the menu bar???
Computers are so scary what if I accidentally hit F12 in a steam game and it takes a screenshot. What if I press shift + F12 while in word and accidentally save my document 😖
If you had to learn what the F keys on your computer do through me reblogging this post, then I’m glad you did. Computer literacy is not a skill that gets taught anymore, and it is absolutely one that needs to be taught in order to be learned. Don’t ever feel bad for not knowing something, but ☝️ don’t ever stop learning learning about your environment, the tools you use, and especially the people around you
Never stop learning+ Never stop sharing what you learned

the way they treat people with poor memory it’s really like. extremely shit. people take poor memory to be some kind of flaw or fault with the person. where they believe that evidence of poor memory is done intentionally, and when someone is finally convinced that poor memory is unintentional then the person with memory issues is considered to be without the ability to think, have likes and opinions or have anything good or meaningful to say. people take their ability to talk over someone else as a given, or a as something funny. and instead of helping someone with an issue that can quite often be either very frustrating or very scary, these malakas don’t even answer basic questions
your poor memory is always used against you when it’s convenient to make you the bad guy in a situation too. it’s not that you actually can’t remember, you’re just lying because you don’t want to get in trouble. at that point, no amount of evidence will ever convince someone that your poor memory is unintentional. you’re the perpetrator, they’re the victim, end of story. i fucking hate it here.

mold pisses me off so much
oh you have to eat your produce the moment it leaves the store or the fuckin Hungering Dust will get it. and. poison your food
I ran into this post years ago and to be honest, it has completely reoriented the way I engage with food.
Like. I’ve always sorta understood that things grow moldy or stale or sour or such if left out, but I never really internalized it in a meaningful way.
But now I’m just like.
Yeah. The hungering dust. There exists omnivorous dust in the air that will eat my food if I don’t.
Those bagels have been sitting there for a week. Are we going to eat them soon or are we leaving them for the hungering dust?
Pizza’s been sitting out on the counter for an hour. Everyone’s enjoying the pizza, but if we don’t want “everyone” to include the hungering dust then we should probably put it away soon.
That’s just. That’s how food works to me now. There exists an invisible predator in the air that hungers for your yummies, and it will not hesitate to eat your food if you don’t make the effort to protect and preserve it. And eat what can’t be preserved before the dust can.
Life-changing.
