After eight solid years of King's Quest art, cosplay, fic, adoration every single week, it's time for this adventurer to put up his hat.

Not permanently, no. You can never walk away from something you love this much. He just needs a moment to rest under that tree, in that field, watching the lavender sway in the breeze.

This blog will still update, but a little less frequently than every single week, for now.

But this gerbil's still creating. If you want to see what I'm working on, art, cosplay, plushie sewing, anything...I'm over yonder at gerbilofeverything. Come see what I'm up to these days, and stick around for the occasional quest here. <3

I will cry - this is such an incredibly sweet subject for the last one of the eight years! Just having a cozy afternoon letting Graham show you around his beloved valley while a salamander enjoys the heat on the top of the screen He even brought his little crown mug all the way from Daventry. Honestly this is so sweet - and that caption. Thank you for sharing something you really love with us all these years! I am glad it is not the end - just a new season! I love your art and your storytelling so much and I am doubly grateful for it because it was a big part of getting me to check out tumblr and then I found the little KQ community and you reached out and were encouraging about my getting involved and then I made friends and then more friends so I'm particularly grateful - both because I love your Graham and the incredible way you have had a hand in building up this beautiful Daventry sandbox but also it was a stepping stone for me to all kinds of good things in my life! And you can always come back to Graham and his family and his guards and his townsfolk friends whenever you want to - they'll enjoy the holiday in the meantime! Anyway. Big thank you.

Aw - this is rather bittersweet! But I know it's not good bye so I m just going to thoroughly enjoy it. You got a salamander into the last one! That's just perfect. And what a nice Graham and Achaka. I like how the newt's reflecting on his helmet. I just... his hat - his cloak his big genuine eyes the glows and the gerbil dust it's all so dear to me and I love this finale for now. Also delighted we're getting more art and writing in new areas from you - your journey is such a cool one to follow. Merry Christmas sire!

😅Hm - a fic I am a bit embarrassed of. Though I don’t think they should be banished from the light of day - they have some strengths here and there - there are passages from Rippling Consequences that make me blush a little, just because it takes so long for the plot to get going. I think we spend the first two chapters just going, “Poor Graham’s being turned into a goblin! It’s so scary for him!” before he gets the escape going, and there’s just rather a lot of angst.

There are some chapters in Path of Kingship that feel this way too, though they are a little more balanced - I coasted on the goofiness of the Tickle Rock to offset the kingly angst as long as I reasonably could!

✨Compliment my writing? Mm, I think my writing is crafted with a lot of love, and I do believe that’s something that communicates to the reader in a way that helps the story.
