Red pandas are stinkin adorable! The word “panda” just means “animal that eats bamboo,” so they are both equally worthy of being called that, as it’s one of the few things they share! But at my zoo we like to say that the red panda is the OG panda, because they were discovered first, about 50 years before the giant panda.
