Hey sorry you’re having an issue with save files. I believe it will be something to do with the browser you are using, possibly… I would recommend using the desktop version!

Im unsure if im just missing it but it would be nice to have settings. Im having bad fps drops and would like to disable particles and such as its significantly impacted my gameplay.
Hey Timko! Sorry, you are not missing it. In this version there are no settings. However the next version will have lots of options to help with any issues you are having. I am also sorry you are having issues with FPS.
Ah thanks for the quick reply! I realized after sending my comment that i was also having fps issues with my other games so i restarted my browser and it fixed it, oopsie ^^;
But i would still really like for particles to be decreased, such as the block gains. The highlight on the arrows to switch pages is a bit annoying to me too if its not too much of a trouble to add a toggle for.
I see you plan to add Milestones? Would those give bonuses for completing? Those have always been my favorite features in games, to hunt down milestones/achievements for perm game boosts.

They were annoying, so they have been removed completely! And the rest has been added to the options page to better suit everyones accessibility.
Yes! Milestones will be in the game. They are called Runes and each Rune has a few steps to being complete. Each step rewards you with either permanent boosts or instant rewards. Some even enhance your Golems!

but i have noticed that from 500 downwards, it appears to be only runestone. i cant seem to find this stated anywhere, and i am running out of everything else
Yeah sadly Runestone is the limit for this current version, along with the final upgrades. I appreciate you got to depth 500 though, that is very impressive!
Hey there! Thank you! I use GMS1 and although it was a struggle to start as I’d never saved like it before, I use simple .ini files that save onto your local drive. It is really simple, easily “hacked” but works a treat and lets me hold all the games information that needs to be saved quickly and at a low memory cost. I see you use Godot? I’d like to think there is a similar way for that engine to do so too! (Btw I love your artwork, it is adorable!)
Hey! In the current version, both shovel and pickaxe upgrades make your Golems stronger but there is a slight bug where the Golems can mine stone without you purchasing the Pickaxe. This has been fixed in the next update!
Hey, the AutoMine Option is really Refreshing! Sadly I had to wait a long time for the Witchrock for some upgrades, because I built too many Golems and the whole field was full of Runestone.

Hey, thanks for the reply. As far as I can tell the changes were not discarded. I created a new entry for the game and that's why it is pending. This review process will take a few months without more votes on the changes (because it's priority based). As a developer, you can get yourself verified, which results in an increased priority for IGDB Reviewers when you submit changes to the IGDB entries. So if you are releasing new screenshots after a new game update it would be advised to upload them as changes by yourself (and replace the old ones I took from this page).

Coming back after months of trying it out last time half a year ago (ikr?? it's been half a year since I last tried this game out!) and I see a visible glow up and increase in the amount of content there is (I'm currently around 750+ depth). Automine is pretty nice to have and automation in the form of golems really do fit the theme of an Arcane. I'm hyped to see what infusions and milestones will be once they're released slowly but surely for game progression.
My current suggestions at this point have changed seeing how much it has been growing, though I don't have a lot, here's at least one of my suggestions:
Crystals seem to stack up very easily while the era of using pickaxes do give a temporary slowdown, and considering that I've seen a lot of things that are benefits for having automation so I'd like to suggest having active spells to benefit active playstyles as well, starting from once you have access to weathered stone, you can unlock spells that cost crystals (they scale up quickly due to how much you'd get later on), and if you're going to roll with it, up to you what they will do!
It feels refreshing coming back, restarting my old progress to see how much the start has changed, please keep it up!

The text is very small, fuzzy, and hard to read, especially in the tutorial. Is there supposed to be a soft block after rootweave, because I have a space marked ???
Great game. I have like 500 golems lol, but something seems to have bugged at about depth 550 as i have a bunch of topsoil/rich dirt that's popped up with 15m durability... Might not be a bug but it's not consistent like its a layer so i'm on the side it might be a bug.
I really enjoy the game so far and can't wait to see it's further development.
Some bugs I've encountered: - When reaching 969 you can't pick up crystals and now you can't mine the dirt from duststorm. - All blocks have been marked as unknown except Gloamclay, Wethered Stone and Runestone. Thus I can't mine the others with the new Echo Harvest upgrade.
969 is the end block, a soft end as such. Impressive you’ve reached that far in all honesty!

I've just tested something. The blocks are still mined and are just marked as "???". Selling all, mining a bit and selling again shows that some are mined. I guess it has to do with the "New block mined" feature added in the recent patch that turned all previously unlocked blocks to "???" because they don't exist as "mined" in the new object/array. As soon as a duststorm hit I had Top Soil "unlocked" again and became visible in the blocks section.
Yes, I know that 969 is the current end block but meteors dropping shards on 969 fields makes it impossible to pick them up currently. That's what I meant.
Interesting find! Did you load game from a previous update? I know there was issues with saving blocks found in 0.1.3 which has now been fixed. Let’s hope that was causing the issue…
Ahh I get you, sorry! Unfortunately the shards/essence/new dirt are all part of the “depth”, meaning there is no mining any of it. The soft block will be lifted in due course! I am still impressed you’ve reached 969 and are still wanting to go further!
Love the game! The quaint messages at the bottom make my day! Please allow the ability to get back blocks you sold off (or get the moles to do more restoring). Other than that a very pleasant abnegation game.

just completed the game in like 2 hours (all blocks mined to 969) was rly fun only thing i would love to see added is a way to get more of the "old" mined block for more golems was stuck on 41 max'd golems cus i sold the rest of the "old" blocks so a shop or somthing where u can buy the blocks so u can get more of them would be awesome
I'll second this. I have 59 runestone golems, and another 61 regular ones that I can't upgrade 'cus I can't get any more clay anymore. I also didn't upgrade the shovel/pickaxe line, and now I don't have that option anymore. Still, fun game all around for what it is.

Hey, sorry to hear that. There’s a small issue where you might have to click continue then click it again. A silly bug that I don’t know how to fix sadly. If that doesn’t work then it’s possible your browser deleted the save files, maybe? There is a windows exe version to download below for worst case scenario!
I have played many idle/clicker/incremental games themed around mining, digging holes, resource extraction, etc.
This is easily the most satisfying of the entire bunch. The random events feel perfectly spaced out if a player wants to treat this as an active game, but the Golems are cheap and efficient enough that you could also easily build an army and treat this as an idler.
If there is ever a Steam release, count on me being a Day 1 purchase. 😁
I don't know your vision for the future of this game, but I would love to have some kind of map or hub. I think it would be excellent if, once you've gone deep enough on a specific chunk of land, you can move somewhere else and start with a fresh plot. Perhaps that could be tied to some sort of prestige system, or perhaps different types of tiles and events could be more common in different locations.
Mainly, I want a much larger simulated landmass to strip-mine. One chunk will only sate me for so long. 😈
Hey, yeah at the moment I just allowed them to continue being upgraded. A little treat I suppose for reaching that far! In future, they will continue onto the new blocks that will be added and then have a final finish!

Golems are underwhelmingly weak and overwhelmingly expensive.
Essence*11+Clay*16 almost stuck at depth 50-150, with 80+% cells covered by snow.

Do shovel/pickaxe upgrades work on golems? (Golems can dig stones without 1st pickaxe upgrade)

The chance that golem digging at edge/corner is sort of too low, which makes the ground ... IMO ugly. (e.g. depth 500 vs 300 vs 120)
It sure is ugly… I heard the Golem’s don’t like the mine near the edge incase they fall off! I will have words with them ;)

It is not just you! The Golems hum in silence… There is no sound in this version sorry to say. Next one will have sound though!
