OP: Look at the 'fire-butterfly' we managed to film. The picture really doesn't do its beauty justice. (cr 鸟王艾雅康,观鸟景jhin,生态摄影阿博特,毕强,Sjxxphotograph,Fische,鱼摆摆,Shanalotte,冰鹡鸰)

Cnetizens meme video of Where Winds Meet (Context: Uncle Jiang risked his life to rescue you(players' character), still in swaddling clothes, from the battlefield and fled to Buxianxian. Aunt Han raised you, together with Uncle Jiang who taught you martial arts. They are like a mother and father to you—though they are not a couple. Aunt Han has her own love, while Uncle Jiang has no romantic storyline. They are the family who love and care for you most in this world.) (cr 如月)

The kang (炕) is a traditional heated platform, 2 metres or more long, used for general living, working, entertaining and sleeping in the northern part of China, where the winter climate is cold. It is made of bricks or other forms of fired clay and more recently of concrete in some locations.

Sites in Shenyang, Liaoning in Northeast China show humans using heated bed floors as early as 7,200 years ago. Other examples include an unearthed 1st-century building remains in Heilongjiang Province, and another one in a 4th-century palace building in Jilin Province, both also in the Northeast region. Literary evidence from Li Daoyuan's “Commentary on the Water Classic” also gives evidence of heated floors during the Northern Wei Dynasty (386–534 AD).

The kang is used to cook meals and heat the room, producing radiant heat to indirectly warm the interior space as well as the bed mass itself. It has been speculated that one of the oldest forms of Chinese housing, cave dwellings known as yaodong (窰洞), widespread throughout northern China would have been uninhabitable without the kang. https://www.tumblr.com/sinoheritage/775197346221916160/yaodong-%E7%AA%B0-in-native-jin-chinese-or-%E7%AA%B0%E6%B4%9E-in

can we please acknowledge that tma/tme is a meaningful distinction? a justice of the US supreme court is openly saying that it's legal to discriminate against trans women because the same laws do not target trans men. the transmisogyny is what makes it permissible. your transphobia is fine as long as it has carveouts for men.

Fascinating parallel here. This incapacity of the legal framework to protect groups who are at the intersection of two protected groups (trans women in this case, black women in the original) even while protecting both groups individually is Crenshaw's original reason for coining the word "intersectionality", which has since gone through the wringer.

OP: Women deserve to feel beautiful even after we retire. The original Empress Xiao crown(647 CE) in the museum was way too expensive to recreate. So I made my popo(my husband's mother) a DIY version using pantyhose instead. (cr 竹立立)

Some people weren't sure what Xiao Hou’s crown looked like, so others commented with photos they took at the museum (The one on display is a replica too, 'cause the real one’s pretty fragile and has barely ever been shown. Even the damaged look was recreated — the original was covered in pearls and gemstones.). People even bought mini museum souvenirs and got creative with mixing and matching.

so i hauve covid rn and i must say, American cold medicine is the absolute bees knees. You go to a UK pharmacy and they tenderly press like eight (8) paracetamol into the palm of your hand... God FORBID you're sick in France, i had to scour every pharmacy in Paris for something that wasn't HOMEOPATHIC PASTILLES. meanwhile last night i took the last of my stash of Nyquil that expired in 2019 and it was like getting hit by a fucking baseball bat (affectionate). press X to timeskip. LOVE me a cheeky little medically induced coma. you can really feel that it's a precursor to meth. i know that everything is fucking awful over there my friedns and my heart goes out to every one of you but if you need one small bright light of national pride in this time of strife please know that i envy you your cold medicine every day

i once took an american antihistamine pill just a basic one for seasonal allergies and i had to immediately lay down and while doing so i vividly hallucinated that i was a steerage passenger on the titanic resigned to my death as my cabin filled up rapidly with water. then i blacked out and when i woke up again my allergies were gone for the entire season.

Sounds like Benadryl.

OP: I went to Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden in Kaifeng, Henan. (they also have a real scene for tourists to experience The Defense of Kaifeng (Capital of the Northern Song Dynasty, the one in Where Winds Meet) (cr 清明上河园,什锦八宝饭962)

Some comparison of the painting Along the River During the Qingming Festival, game scenes(where winds meet) and today's real-life corresponding scenic spots:
