I dream of becoming a writer maybe even a screenwriter and write my own show one day!

My hyper fixation is The lost boys, Steven universe and old school movies and shows

I’m TOTALLY NORMAL about movies btw

Eartha Kitt's career is just so iconic because there's no way you don't know her even if you don't know you know her. You like Christmas music ok well she's Santa Baby. You like Disney animated movie ok well she's Yzma. You like Disney Channel original movie ok well she's Madame Zeroni. You like comic book ok well she is Cat Woman. She won.

You like making the racist wife of a war mongering president cry on national television? She did that

You like laughing at the very idea of needing a man? She's your role model.

she was also a very cool activist and its worth looking up everything shes done

The greatest scene in Just One of the Girls is when Chris dons feminine clothing and a wig for the first time in order to stay undetected by his bully Curt, because the movie makes that moment seem less like "relief" and more like Chris had discovered something that been hidden deep within "himself" the whole time until now

When folks ask me for a commission, I always have to specify WHICH Dee they want art from. Usually, my table will have comics in a LOT of different styles, and I never want to disappoint someone who likes, say, the Wellkeeper or Giant Girl Adventures, by drawing something in a Finding Dee style. That said, the Finding Dee style stuff is a LOT more fun to draw, and a lot easier on the eyes and wrist. lol

Awesome art 🤩 @deebrisbyfish

Down to fight

Inspired by my own wip origins fic, so it's kinda like a teaser? I don't know, this one is purely self indulgent

Cw for T slur, implied physical abuse, and beating the shit out of some people

David and Marko are on the boardwalk, Marko hasn't been a vampire very long and so David is taking him outside to try and learn how to exist alongside humans

They've been having a good night, walking around, David getting up to all sorts of theft, mind-fuckery, and fun as Marko watches him in awe while chuckling. However their date is interrupted

Marko hears someone call his dead name with a cruel smirk in their tone. David's been in his mind so although he's never directly told David what he used to be called, David knows anyway. But that doesn't stop Marko feeling violated by having the name shouted out

David looks at Marko "the fucks that?"

"someone from.. before" he seems to withdraw into himself, the familiar feeling of disgust and shame filling him

The man from before walks over with his friends and towers over Marko, clearly trying to intimidate him "I thought you up and died, tranny" Marko flinches "your parents have been worried sick"

That's a lie, his parents were honestly all too glad he wasn't their problem anymore. David can see it but Marko takes the words like a physical blow. Not too long ago was he a runaway crying in the street unable to defend himself. He's always tried to have a punk edge but he didn't have the confidence nor strength to keep it up, the last time he tried his dad beat the crap out of him and he had to limp out of the house. But things are different now. He's different now.

He lunges at the man, hitting and scratching and doing anything he can to fuck him up. David only has a moment to be shocked before jumping into action to handle the guys friends.

In no more than 5 minutes the man, and his companions, are little more than pulverised. Marko and David could've gone further, but David knows not to kill anyone in public like this, so he pulls Marko back

"my name is Marko, and you can tell my parents that of they're so worried about me" he kicks him one last time, much to the displeasure of David. He seems like a different person now; stronger, braver, less likely to take shit from someone all because of one little fight

"Marko cmon-" David nudges him gently to get him moving, they leg it back to their bikes and race back to the hideout, wanting to get back to safety before the police get called

David rides with his jaw locked in place. Sure, he loves violence as much as the next especially when it means standing up for his boys, but he can practically hear max getting on his arse for it latter. Marko however is ecstatic, driving more recklessly, laughing, having the time of his unlife. Like something has finally shifted for good

They get back to the hideout but before they go inside David calls out "you seem different, Marko"

"yeah, I fucking feel it.. it felt good beating the shit out of him"

"true but it was more than that, wasn't it Marko?"

"..." Marko sighs, fuck David for being able to read him so well, mind powers or not "yeah. It's like- it wasn't just a fight, I was getting it all out of my system yknow? He wasn't just someone who was being a dick. He was my mom, my dad, everyone who never fucking liked me-"

David puts a hand on his shoulder "you're one of us now"

Marko lets out a deep breath, habitual rather than necessary "yeah. I am"

They walk into the cave, Marko still lighter and more free than anyone had ever seen him. They're greeted by Dwayne skateboarding past them "welcome back" he says before moving on. David and Marko walk and sit down on the sofa, without realising it Marko leans into David who most definitely does realise. He calls Dwayne over with a look, Dwayne stops his board and walks over to the other two, waiting for David to speak

"Markos had a long night. Sit." Dwayne does as asked and cuddles up to Marko on the couch, sandwiching the boy between himself and David. They don't produce any body heat, but the comfort is still there, wrapping them all in warmth

"I need to stop starting fandom projects so I stop disappointing people."

  • it's okay to disappoint people
  • it's okay to work slowly
  • it's okay to let yourself rest
  • it's okay to drop projects

Stop treating yourself like you are the workers at a fast food franchise.

Your writing is a hobby, don't let it turn into a source of guilt, shame and frustration instead of a source of joy.

Ok I know the Lost Boys more than likely stole their motorcycles and is driving around without a licence but wouldn’t it be funny if they actually had to learn to drive to get their licences?

Obviously they failed the exam and just started driving around without licence anyway but still, something to think about

First of all, good luck with driving, you can do this!💪

Okay, headcanon time, because this just unlocked some ideas.

Dwayne

  • I think he would be the only one who actually passes. He has the discipline to learn and the attention span to support that.
  • The others tease him about it, how he's such a 'good boy' and a 'model citizen'. He doesn't really care, he just likes to learn stuff. Especially when it comes to bikes and driving. And if he has spent so much time learning then he might as well take the test.
  • Now, that doesn't mean that he will follow rules when it comes to driving, but in theory he knows that stuff.

David

  • He could pass if he wanted to, easily. The problem is, he just doesn't want to. He doesn't really care. He would be driving anyway, regardless of if he had a license or not.
  • He just doesn't want someone to boss him around and tell him what to do. He definitely has a problem with authority. And if the instructor is someone he doesn't see as an authority figure and couldn't take seriously, then he wouldn't even try.
  • He would drop out and fail entirely voluntarily.

Marko

  • I fully believe he started with the intension of actually getting a licence. With him the problem was his attitude.
  • He ignored rules, did stuff while driving that was too dangerous and reckless, and he didn't follow instructions when he thought he knew better.
  • He got scolded a lot, which ended up with him getting into a fight with his instructor and punching him in the face. He got booted out really fast after that.

Paul

  • Paul only started the process because all the others did. He didn't really care about a license, he was just following along, going with the flow.
  • That being said, I think he would be a surprisingly fast learner. (@vespariaa's post about smart Paul really did some things to my brain.) For Paul, one of the problems is his attention span. He's jittery, he can't sit still, he can't pay attention for long periods of time.
  • His other problem is that he just doesn't really care. He's high, he's joking all the time, he doesn't want to take it all seriously.
  • He drops out voluntarily after a few lessons because he got bored.

Yay thank you! My lessons are going strong!

Ok but may I suggest that one of the boys failed driving school because they just have horrible depth perception and peripheral view?

Yay! Nice!

Yes, I can definitely see that for Marko or Paul!
