But also, HARD agree with Erika that Curran being evil would have just felt bad. Make no mistake, this is Worse! And tragic! But in a way that feels true to who Curran was, what kind of horror the Man In Black can be, and what would affect Eursolon the most. Fighting something that wants to kill you? Bad! But doable to save the kids! Maybe means trying to "find the good" in Curran but if not, eh. He's not the man I remember so fuck that guy, right?
