I don’t care what the Founding Fathers would have wanted, I don’t care if Jesus was a hippie or not, I don’t care what Marx prescribed. I can’t take living in a world where we’re all servants of long-dead men. You know what happens if you make a law the Founding Fathers wouldn’t like? Nothing, they’re dead and they’re never coming back. I’m genuinely envious of countries that can just make whatever laws they want without worrying about how 18th century agrarian noblemen would have seen it. Stop arguing that Jesus loved the poor too, what he loved or didn’t love is irrelevant, he doesn’t get a say in any of this. We could have a country that isn’t shackled to these ghosts if we collectively wanted to.
if you need me i’ll be going where im loved and loving where im going
If you're in LGBT friendly spaces and someone introduces themselves and cautiously says they're fine with any pronouns, it is your duty to notice which pronouns the people around you tend to default to for them and ensure that you refer to them with any and every pronoun under the sun except for that one. You must.
Back when I used to walk around my college in a corduroy blazer and slacks I didn't call it "dark academia" I called it "professor drag" and the purpose was to smoothly walk into parts of campus I wasn't supposed to access

The fact that animals that care for their young will sometimes adopt others' lost or orphaned young to raise along their own is just funny to me. I know that it's all hormonal and there's no conscious thought involved in it, but the internal logic of it is so funny.
"Baby = success. More baby = more success. I have one baby and I found four other baby. I have five baby. I am being so fucking successful right now."
"The idea of like, 'everyone good eventually becomes bad' you're like, no, that's what like, angry 13 year-old Brennan was like. 'Everyone good becomes bad eventually'. The way worse one is, no, you stay good the whole time, and the world makes you do bad things."
BRENNAN CAN YOU NOT???
But also, HARD agree with Erika that Curran being evil would have just felt bad. Make no mistake, this is Worse! And tragic! But in a way that feels true to who Curran was, what kind of horror the Man In Black can be, and what would affect Eursolon the most. Fighting something that wants to kill you? Bad! But doable to save the kids! Maybe means trying to "find the good" in Curran but if not, eh. He's not the man I remember so fuck that guy, right? But fighting someone who IS still the man you remember and doesn't WANT to fight you, but has to? Better vibes than evil!Curran for sure, but waaaaaaay more emotionally devastating and delicious for the listener.
