Below Zero is in reference to really, really cold temperatures. Nice for exposure whump, trapped in a commercial freezer whump, and liquid nitrogen whump! The vast frozen tundra of whump is yours for the taking!
Hi! Do we have to follow the order of the days? Or can we use the prompts for any given day and switch like day 5 with day 10?

You do not have to follow the days in order! You can switch them as inspiration suits you, and I'll reblog them with tags for the day of the prompt you've shared! Writing linearly can be such a bitch. Don't do that to yourself (unless you're making that part of the challenge for yourself!) We have lots of people write out of order! Go for it!
What does “quiet company” mean exactly?
Quiet company is just kind of sitting with someone and being a presence. Nothing needs to be said or done. There's no coaxing or prying. It's almost this instinctual, unspoken thing where you won't leave this person alone even if they are actively shutting you out or they are unconscious and it feels wrong to leave them alone. It's being within reach in case they do need something, in particular, a friend. :)

I only made a tiny contribution to june of doom this year, but the prompts list has been a huge inspiration for me in the following weeks and I've been using it as a guide to update a whole load of other stories, so thank you!!!

It feels weird working on the 2026 prompts knowing that no one will read the fics for another 10 months haha (super grateful they've been released so early tho!)
It'll be here before you know it! I think I got my first idea yesterday. I don't plan to start writing til mid-October, but I'm excited!

They do not! Write in whatever language you want!
(But if you could just let me know with, like, a number what prompt you’re doing so I can reblog/ tag it properly in case I can’t read that language, that is super! PS the only language I can semi-read other than English is French lol)
