30s,trans woman, she/her, please leave if you're a minor please leave, it gets nsfw around these parts

My Melody taking time with the strawberry jelly that Kuromi made feels like a bit if foreshadowing for the direction they take Kuromis character, it really takes time for her best qualities to shine through, for her to show that she cares for My Melody,Sasage and Tanba.

among my least favourite conversations i regularly experience in media analysis is when you interpret something as potentially alluding to an "uncomfortable" topic and people immediately start trying to defang it. "this reads like a rape scene" "umm actually it's not rape, it's just a very intimate act of violent assault that violates the victim's sense of safety and bodily autonomy with NO 🙅 sexual connotations or elements". you do realise that's neither any better nor functionally different, right?

"this relationship resembles a traditional abusive marriage between a husband and wife" "well they're not married or heterosexual so you're wrong and an insane bigot for comparing them to such a horrible thing also" HAVE YOU NEVER HEARD OF A FUCKING METAPHOR???

Pluribus, in-text: yeah so the hive is like when forced assimilation and subjugation and cultural genocide in the name of global peace and safety, and gay conversion therapy, and pacification through forced addiction, and punishment via solitary confinement to coerce cooperation, and how blackboxed and forced from above simulacra is built on and sustained by stolen labor and leads to dehumanization, and the cult logics of impossibility of refusal and escape, and the lack of respect for what is at the core of bodily autonomy and consent, and the lack of cross-species empathy or feeling of responsibility for continued husbandry, and the fallacy of the innocent bystander. oh yeah, also they eat people. metaphorically but also literally. btw did i mention cultural genocide, check it out. *shows an aborted ceremony and abandonment of an entire community upon finalized conversion*

Rashmi at the start of ucbg is too real because you have this huge realisation about yourself, the key that unlocks the door to self love. you can finally accept that the life you always wanted is actually possible after all, that you are not doomed to always hate yourself and per reflex reject anything that seems good out of fear for corrupting it with your abominable touch.

you are ready to actually begin to live, for everyone to see you for who you really are and for them to understand that the weight that's been crushing you for your whole life has finally been lifted. hello world! i am free! i'm a woman! don't you see? i'm not doomed to misery after all! everything is alright now.

but of course your life did not actually begin just now with this realisation. and all the people that you've shut out, that you've been cold and cruel to in the fog that was your life until now, are not unhurt by your realisation. and they do not understand that the person that you were yesterday might as well be dead, because he wasn't you. that was just a shade that carried you to this moment of rebirth. and now you have to shoulder the burden that your past self set up through negligence and self-loathing.

and you want to go "please! can't you see that all that stuff doesn't matter?? I'm a woman! do you understand what this means??" but you never let anyone in close enough to understand this. you're not starting over from zero, you're indebted to your past.

can we please acknowledge that tma/tme is a meaningful distinction? a justice of the US supreme court is openly saying that it's legal to discriminate against trans women because the same laws do not target trans men. the transmisogyny is what makes it permissible. your transphobia is fine as long as it has carveouts for men.

So... Respectfully, you need to look at this statement in broader context of the sports conversation in general. Trans men have not needed to be banned from sports in order to be pushed out of sports competition, because any trans person taking Testosterone and playing sports is breaking doping laws. Amy Coney Berret studied sports law for her job before coming to court and she knows that. She's not arguing that trans men and boys can play sports here. She's making a law argument that this one specific law doesn't discriminate against trans men, because we have a different law that will literally never be challenged on the basis of sex based discrimination for that that either forces trans boys out or forces trans boys to detransition, so we can use them as a convenient hypothetical for this law while also not granting them equal access to anything. The fact that you took this famously fascist woman at her word as not seeing trans men as a threat rather then wanting to sneakily pit us against each other to push us both out of public life shows you have a huge blind spot about our issues. And that blind spot hurts you.

That’s not really correct though- yes, there are some sports organizations that blanket ban testosterone as doping, HOWEVER the vast majority of sports organizations stipulated in their policies that trans men on testosterone would not be considered doping unless their T levels were above what would be considered “typical male levels”.

In fact, that is how those doping policies are enforced! Because those policies are enforced through testing. And if they banned any level of testosterone in someone, then.. literally all cis males would be barred from competing? A trans man with below or at “average” T levels would not even register at all on a surprise sports drug test.

Now again, there ARE notable exceptions to this, but it is absolutely incorrect to say that any trans person taking T is automatically considered doping in men’s sports.

In fact, as of 2025 the NCAA, which is by far the largest and most impactful organization and often sets the precedent for local and smaller sports organizations has been clear that trans women are NEVER allowed to compete on women’s teams whereas trans men are welcome to compete on men’s teams regardless of HRT status.

To be clear about something here- I do think you are correct to point out that Berret has studied sports law and likely knows that trans men could potentially be banned de facto by several means, including 1. More major sports organizations adopting “any T Rx is doping” type policies, or just straight up more strict “no trans ppl allowed- only play on your AGAB team” policies. 2. Legal bans on access to HRT meaning trans men can not get T which then means they are stuck with competing on women’s teams (or sticking out like a sore thumb on a men’s team and facing so much discrimination that it becomes not worth it to compete, something I would argue already happens with all trans ppl in sports already tbh)

However, the OP is still right to point out that she is intentionally trying to sacrifice trans women in order to get people on board with these laws. In fact, I think that is a perfect example of how transmisogyny functions here- trans women are an acceptable scapegoat in conversations about sports inclusion.

You are correct that she absolutely does not actually give a shit about trans men. You are correct that it is likely not true that she doesn’t see trans men as a threat, and probably is banking on de facto exclusion. However, she is still using trans women as a sacrifice to get the public on her side in a way she likely would not be able to do with trans men.

It is also important to note that in this situation, the consequences are absolutely not even. I am a transmasc(ish) nonbinary person. I am a sports med professional. I have published research and spoken publically about trans athletes. I wrote and designed an entire inclusion policy for the NCAA institution I used to work at. I will never say that transmasc people do not face discrimination or exclusion in sport- however, there is a HUGE difference in how transfem people are treated in sport, and more to the point here, there is a HUGE difference between legal bans on participation and organizational bans on participation.

Legal bans (state and federal laws) on transfem participation in sport is such a devastating blow because laws like this are much, MUCH harder and slower to change than organizational policies. Organizational policies that exclude all trans people can be changed and are in fact likely to change over time with public opinion (depending on the structure of the organization). I’m not saying it’s easy- believe me, I know that from experience! However, if there is a LEGAL ban, this will bar trans women from women’s sports REGARDLESS of the organizations values and standpoint. Organizations will comply out of fear, and institutions like schools will HAVE to comply under threat of losing funding or being penalized. That is a devastating result for transfem people.

Again- you are not wrong to point out that Barrett is not actually on the side of any trans people, transmascs included. However, that does not negate the fact that she is using transmisogyny to her advantage because she hopes that will appease people enough to stop caring. It is important to ask why she is able to do that- why transfem people are viewed as more “acceptable” and “reasonable” to ban in the first place?

All trans people should absolutely realize that politicians like this are not our friends. However, we must use that to inspire solidarity with those in our community who are the primary targets of transmisogyny. And that does require recognizing where we are not being equally harmed or targeted.

comptop is a transmisogynistic dynamic that exists and is good to be aware of, but I don't think the correct response is to assume any given trans woman you encounter is in need of being Saved From Topping

what if you didn't assume what she wants, and instead listened to her as her own woman with her own particular needs and interests

please. can we please not assume out of the gate that she needs to hear the Good News about bottoming, or pathologize her if she does enjoy topping, or make assumptions about her relationships/partners

again, it's good to be aware of comptop, but I don't think this is the right course-correction to make

it's missing the "don't assume, listen to her" forest for the comptop trees

Yeah I said something similar yesterday but we can NOT let what happened to Renee Good cloud what happened to everyone else at the hands of these SS Demons!!!

Because we can’t disregard one person if we’re for human rights!

Hi I'm a cute girl (unemployed style) with some severe depression and PTSD and I've been out of a job for like two months now. I've had a few interviews but none of them have gone anywhere and the prospects in my current town are not amazing. If you can help a gal survive slightly more comfortably by affording food or meds it would be super appreciated.

You can use one of these links:

V - C - PP

I finally got my medicaid approval today so meds should be cheaper and actually affordable but alas I am still very broke currently !

Me,innocent untainted by dark knowledge:"I had to stop myself from speaking like Katherine earlier"

My very mean partner:"You already did, if anything you speak less like her after having read rcbg"

I love how the girl who put these tags here has yassified Comic book guy as her pfp because a trans fem Comic book gal would react exactly like this to rcbg.
