How different do you think Diabolik Lovers would be if it was realistic?
That would depend on what you would qualify as realistic. If it's regarding the abuse Yui goes through, then that would require it to not make the love interests' abuse as appealing or alluring, even though that's the entire point of the series. (Which is why I think it should've stayed as a Drama CD series, but don't tell anyone I said that/j.)
Is just me or do I fell that the various female students in Diabolik Lovers have shallow mindsets when it comes to the Sakamakis and Mukamis? (Example: Kou’s fangirls)
I think they're like that since they're side characters, and they clearly want to show how alluring and powerful the Sakamakis and Mukamis are. They should fix this by having the guy side characters do the same, but that would require Rejet to acknowledge gay people exist outside of two specific instances. Either that, or have female side characters who aren't crazy about them, mostly because I want Yui to have more friends that aren't the diaboys.
This anime may suck worse than the already questionable game, but this opening theme still slaps.

Finally got Part 3's characters done! I have only done the ones I care about enough to draw so dont ask me if I missed out on a character cos i really dont care on drawing every single character. Especially since Part 3 has a lot of characters already Anyway Im really happy with how these turned out! And I hope you all like these lil critters too! Part 4's next!

black butler is so damn weird about its storytelling like does that ever hit you
like okay it’s posited as the story of a boy hunting down his family’s killers and yet every single arc has been about stuff that isn’t that. it’s not even on the back burner it’s just straight up not what they do in the show. instead each arc puts said boy into a new situation designed to show the effects of his neuroses for reasons we won’t fully understand until the halfway point of the series. in the meantime enjoy a curry competition and a cricket tournament. there’s also a big scary threat looming over the boy but he’s not the villain he’s actually technically the protagonist and he’s chill for now. none of this has been even tangentially related to seeking his family’s killers. just when you start to really wonder where all this is going BAM a reveal that recontextualizes absolutely everything we thought we knew about the boy. not about the family murders though. btw it turns out the Plot actually kinda started with the zombie titanic because it first laid the narrative groundwork for all This. what is This you ask? well we’ve reached a point where there’s more post-reveal story than pre-reveal story and we still have no idea. coming up on 20 years, a majority of which has been post-world’s-biggest-twist, we have no motive for who we must assume to be the villain of the current decade-long arc, not to be confused with whoever killed the kid’s parents, which is still entirely unexplored. it’s an action show it’s gloomy horror they invented jpop in late victorian britain

Your recent posts about Performative Bloodlust really opened my eyes in a weird way.
I see posts on here about how seeing criminals as a separate class of human being who are all inherently evil is a fallacy, and a great way to be swayed by Conservative bullshit, and then half the comments are saying stuff like "Um, I for one think rape is a bad thing" or "lol someone forgot pedos exist".
ALMOST EVERYONE WITH A SHRED OF MORALITY THINKS RAPE IS A BAD THING, YOU FUCKING TWITS.
But derailing a post about mainstream society's dehumanization of criminals to Um Actually about sexual abuse and assault is just time-wasting, virtue signaling nonsense that does nothing but pat yourself on the back.
You shouldn't be trying to Get Points by saying some of the most heinous acts of force are things you disapprove of, because nobody with a functioning brain would have assumed otherwise!
Sorry for the rant, but this stuff really does irritate me, now that I'm noticing it more.

Just look a few asks down at someone who is baffled that I wouldn't call the cops on people who are minding their own business just because they're gross.
A lot of people are "anti cop" or "pro empathy" right up until they actually have to BE those things. With effort. Saying it on social media is easy, but the whole point of being in favour of prison abolition is that there are no exceptions. But everyone wants to make exceptions.
Most people are anti death penalty on the basis that "You might kill someone who turns out to be innocent." Notice they completely sidestep the issue of executing the guilty, because they don't care about them.
"Oh but if we abolish prisons, what do we do with child predators"
Hospitalization, dipstick. What else do we do with someone who is sick? Medicine, you idiot.
People balk at that because they don't actually care about fixing anything, they're just self-absorbed little fucks who only care about stroking their ego. Or "Aura Farming" as people who season their food with bromine would say.
Fascists LOVE this environment of instant, irrational sadism when certain crimes are mentioned. It makes it very easy to unperson someone by just persistently accusing them of pedophilia. That alone should be enough to make you cool it on the performance pieces, but the fact is that the people doing this shit are ALSO fascist.
