But look at how angry even the hallucination Adam is when Lute is in his face. I know the song is like...being angry, especially that part, but it's Lute being angry. And at that part, she was just saying how she liked him. But point being, ship who you want, but Adam did Not like Lute like that. And you can not convince me otherwise. I think he liked that she did what he wanted, listened to him so well, matched his energy when it came to killing sinners, and likes him no matter how much of a dick he is. But I think that's the extent of Adam's liking of Lute. (A friendship of sorts) Any further closeness I feel was one sided on Lute's end. And I know he seemed close to her and smiled at her when he was dying, but I think he was just happy someone cared that he was basically dead. Because as narcissistic as he is, and as much as he likes to think everyone loves him because he's the first man, I think somewhere in his head he knows how much of a nuisance people think he is, and knows not that many people actually like him. Which is why he let Lute practically cling to him, always being at his side and just basically being up his ass.
