Do you need help deciding what to donate to?

Recently I made some polls that would help me figure out who can afford to donate how much. I will base the following 'categories' based on the answers I received.

Preface: This is NOT a personal budgetting guide. This is just about telling you where you can donate what you've already decided you can afford to set aside for the month / week. Furthermore, if you have to struggle to scrape by, I strongly urge you to reconsider donating. There are others who can afford to donate and you should focus on urging them to do so and sharing fundraisers with them. You should also follow this guide on a dynamic basis. I.E. if you suddenly find yourself out of a job, don't keep donating weekly just because you used to. Likewise if you suddenly score a six figures, please consider increasing the amount / frequency you donate.

If you don't want to follow this guide, don't!! If you prefer donating differently, do so. This guide is exclusively for people who aren't sure what to do and need a little bit of a system but don't know how to start making one.

PS: please do not share what category you belong to in my notes or whatever. I don't need to know.

Those who can afford to donate daily:

According to the poll there's about 9 of you who can afford to donate daily. If you can afford to donate daily, it matches up with the amount of fundraisers for individual families that I queue to post on my blog per day. Please prioritize families that are struggling with difficult healthcare issues, or families who have one or more disabled members who need expensive specialized care. You can find fundraisers to donate to on the lists linked in my pinned post. I personally think this would be helpful because it provides these families in need with that extra help they need. Look out for the fundraisers that I post daily on my blog, or alternatively if you can't pick one you can consult gazafunds, which picks a fundraiser for you if you feel you can't choose one yourself. The people who run the website vet every fundraiser listed there as well.

Those who can afford to donate weekly:

There's far more of you who can donate weekly rather than daily ~ 40-50. I think most effectively it would be best to ask you to donate to mutual aid initiatives for 2 weeks in a row, and then to alternate on the 3rd week and donate to some of the individual fundraisers, prioritarily for people who are in need of medical aid. Having a large amount of people donating to mutual aid efforts every week helps make sure that people are fed through the week and allows for a steady stream of support over time. However it also helps to have people sustain the individual fundraisers with the little extra boost they need outside of the daily donators. This is why I think alternating between both would be most help.

Those who can afford to donate monthly & less often than monthly:

This is the largest donator group and for that reason I strongly urge you to donate to mutual aid groups. Because it consolidates a small amount of donations from hundreds of people and causes the most widespread positive effect. Mutual aid initiatives reach the people who cannot advocate for themselves online and who have no means to ask for donations themselves.

My combination skin came back ๐Ÿ˜ฉ but! I discovered I can mostly manage it using things I already have for other skin problems (Aquaphor healing ointment for dry patches and Neosporin for acne). I saw someone on the zero waste subreddit say that post-it notes work as a substitute for oil absorbing sheets so I might try that as well and have this whole thing sorted without having to procure a bunch of new skincare products or claw my irritated skin off

The Refaat Alareer Camp project (shelter and support for the most vulnerable, organized by the Sameer foundation)

Relief for Rafah (supplies the Mawasi al-Qarara refugee campo with water & supplies food in Rafah)

Every minute without help takes away our strength and our lives. We are exhausted, and we cannot wait any longerโ€”please donโ€™t wait until we are gone to care. I am Zeina, a child crying in silence.

We dream of sleeping without fear, having a real home, going back to school and playing safely, and having water from the tap without struggle. These are not big dreams itโ€™s basic rights taken from us. Your donation or even a share today can save my life.

Chuffed - Vetted #213

Deadline 25 January

Subject: Collecting money to pay the rent of the house

Current process:

USD 3,140 / $4,640

Vatted by @fairuzfan

We are so grateful to everyone who supported us while my sister was in the hospital. Thanks to your prayers and kindness, she is finally home and slowly getting better.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’—

But now, we are facing a desperate situation. Our landlord has given us only two weeks to pay the rent of $1,500 or we will have nowhere to go. The weather is bitterly cold, my elderly parents cannot withstand it, and my sister is still too weak to face any stress.๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ’”

We don't know what else to do, and we are turning to you with hope in our hearts. Every single donation, no matter how small, will help us keep a roof over our heads and give my family safety and warmth. Please, help us today , your support can save us from the streets and give us hope in this very difficult time.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ’”

pleass donate if you can and share this, they urgently need the money to cover the rent but they can't do it themselves they need our help and support!

Guys, the situation in Gaza is getting worse day after day. Heavy bombardment resumed today everywhere, as if the war has started all over again. We are living in harsh tent conditions, facing freezing cold, violent winds, and heavy rain, with no access to even the most basic necessities of life.

On top of all this, my father is seriously ill, and his health condition is deteriorating day by day, while proper hospitals and medications are unavailable.

Life has truly become a living hell beyond human endurance. We have reached a point where we wish for death instead of this hell we are forced to live through every single moment.

I know I am asking a lot, but I am placing my hope in your humanity to extend a helping hand to my family. We are in desperate need of your support.

๐Ÿ“Œ Fundraiser vetted (#167 by el-shab-hussein & nabulsi)

As of 03:30 GMT on 11 January 2026, Ahmad's new Chuffed campaign is only at $1,436 / $25,000 โ€” he can't access his previous GFM campaign and his Ko-Fi was terminated!

All we wish for is that my grandmother can live, that we can feel warmth like the rest of the world, and that my child can grow up with food, baby milk, and diapers.

๐Ÿซ‚My friends, thank you for standing by me over the past year and a half.โค๏ธ

๐Ÿ”ดBut my grandmother needs you โ€” her treatment is expensive, and we have no income to cover all of this.๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ™

  • My child needs you, my friends. ๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ’” Because I suffer from anemia, I am unable to breastfeed him. He urgently needs formula milk, diapers, nutritional supplements, and vitamin D. Unfortunately, the prices are extremely high. ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿผ

๐Ÿ”ดDue to the lack of support, we are forced to reduce our meals to just one a day, which may not be nutritiousโ€”only to ease our hunger, so we can provide whatever food and medicine we can for my grandmother and my child. ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ˜ข

๐Ÿ™Help me protect them โ€” your support means everything to us and helps keep a family of 10 people alive.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’”

My friends, my second family,๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’”

โ€ข My grandmother is still in great pain and suffering. She urgently needs medication that is very expensive, costing up to โ‚ฌ1,500.

โ€ข My baby needs infant formula, and I am suffering from anemia and calcium deficiency, so I am unable to breastfeed.

Hilda

Today I stood beside my mother in the hospital, and the doctors were clear: her condition is critical and deeply alarming. My mother is not asking for the impossible , she is asking for her right to live. She is a human being, a soul in pain, just like your mother.

Why this silence? Why this indifference? My mother urgently needs to travel to receive the treatment that could save her life.

I will not forgive anyone who sees this post and ignores us.

I am writing these words with tears streaming down my face. I can no longer bear this pain. My wife is suffering from a severe deficiency in vitamins, especially vitamin D, and she urgently needs surgery to save her life. Her body is growing weaker day by day, malnutrition is stealing her strength, and I stand helpless watching her suffer.

All I wish for is to see her alive and healthy. Please help us provide healthy food, her medications, and fund the surgery that could save her life.

Donโ€™t stay silent. Her children need her back

Please please help us please donate now and share this post

Please donโ€™t scroll past this appeal.

We urgently need your support.

Sharing this post or donating can make a real difference right now.

Thank you from the heart to everyone who supports and shares ๐Ÿค

Your support is truly needed right now

Whether by sharing this post or donating you can help make a meaningful difference

Thank you sincerely to everyone who stands with us and offers support

Please, my friends, continuing your donations and support can make a real difference. Your support saves my wifeโ€™s life and gives her a chance to return to her children. Please donโ€™t stop now

Please donate now, this is extremely urgent!

Ayaa needs surgery as soon as possible, so the faster they can raise the funds, the better the chance she has.

Please give what you can. Anything helps.

If you can afford to buy a coffee, you can donate.

If you are able to donate, don't delay. Any wait could be the difference between Ayaa's next breath and her last!

Time is running out, so act now!

Share his posts as far as possible. We need as many eyes on this as we can!

Reblog his post with tags to keep it in circulation!

Please my friends donโ€™t stop now. Your continued support and donations are what give my wife a real chance to recover and return to her children. Your support makes a difference today.

My name is Motasem from Gaza ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‰,

a father to a small child who asks nothing from this world except the most basic needs for his familyโ€”milk for my baby and safety.๐Ÿฅบ

Today, I am unemployed, living a harsh reality after our homes were destroyed and we were stripped of the simplest necessities of life.

My child urgently needs baby milk and diapers, and I am unable to provide them amid extreme prices, siege, and destruction.

Gaza can no longer endure this suffering, and its children are paying the heaviest price.

Any support, no matter how small, can make a real difference in the life of an innocent child.

From a heart weighed down with pain, I reach out my hand to youโ€ฆ hoping that compassion can still find its way to us.

We are living through the heaviest days of my life. I watch my childrenโ€™s every breath with a heart shattered by fear. A ruthless virus is ravaging their small bodies, and we are left with nothing but patience and prayers amidst these merciless conditions.

My eldest son is suffering from severe inflammation and acute anemia. His frail body can no longer fight back. Meanwhile, my little daughterโ€™s lungs can no longer endure the smoke from the fires we are forced to light for warmth; it has triggered chronic respiratory distress, making her a frequent patient in the hospital.

We live in a tent that offers no protection from the biting cold or our mounting pain. With a winter storm approaching, my fear grows that the freezing temperatures will claim what is left of their strength. I feel utterly helpless watching my children wither away, and all I seek is to provide them with the medicine and warmth they need before the illness and cold take them from me.

hyperlinked to some of the text above is Amal's family's fundraiser. it can also be found linked below:

$18,819 / 30K

this fundraiser is #55 on @/gazavetters's list of vetted fundraisers. [ link to Google Sheets ]

because of the reasons mentioned above, this fundraiser is URGENT!

funds were received recently, but there were only 8 fundings within less than a month. it STAGNATED COMPLETELY!

I'm writing these words with a heavy heart and a sense of shameโ€ฆ

It's not easy for a doctor and pharmacist who has dedicated their life to serving people to reach out and ask for help, but circumstances are harsher than any pride.

My pharmacy was completely destroyed by the war,

and my home wasn't spared eitherโ€ฆ and I no longer have any source of income to support myself and my family.

I was forced to reopen a simple pharmacy, a tent,

offering no protection from the winter cold or the rain,

and with the recent storms, the tent itself was ruined,

and I continue to work in unbearable conditions,

but only because I don't know how to stop or give up.

The situation is extremely difficultโ€ฆ and the need is dire,

and the hardest thing is the feeling of abandonment,

when you feel alone,

and that many of the people you stood by didn't stand by you in this time.

I'm not asking for luxury,

nor anything more than what's necessary.

I'm asking for a life of dignity and a chance to get back on my feet.

Whoever can help, even a little,

may God reward them on behalf of me and my family.

And whoever can't, please share this post.

Forgive meโ€ฆ The pain is immense,

and the need is greater than silence.
