anyway! this is a side blog, i follow from bunnysmoothie (used to follow from violeteeth) and i used to be bunnyvvitch here, then i was bunnysmoothie. big switcharound

this blog features:

  • farm content, mine and others. mainly rabbits but there are chickens, ducks, sheep, and goats here as well
  • as far as the rabbits- i breed mini rex and tans for show, and my two other projects are white ear mini rex and satin rex. my friend/roommate/rabbitry partner also has czech frosties and is doing really well with them! im trying to post more pictures of them all, please feel free to make requests or ask me about stuff! i love love to yap about my animals, as you can see
  • LOTS of talk on the eating of said animals, there are frequent discussions about slaughter, etc
  • taxidermy!! of many varieties
  • occasional drama when myself or the “evil rabbit people” piss someone off and everything explodes. funnily enough, that is when i get THE most followers!
  • lots of photography and relevant art!! i throw a lot of stuff over here
  • i am also getting back into witchcraft and his blog used to feature that heavily back in the day. getting back to my roots!

At the risk of sounding stupid, I just found out how long the stone age lasted. In my head it's about as long as other historical time periods, a couple thousand years before ancient egypt, and conceptually looks like a bad car insurance commercial. Nope! Dead wrong! The stone age lasted for 3.4 MILLION YEARS.

The first image is my favorite, the iconic oldowan hand axe, but you'll note there's a wide range of other tools crafted for everything from crushing nuts and stones, to awls and engraving devices. There is some evidence, albeit hotly debated, that these tools MIGHT have been used in ancient burials. Maybe. This is up for debate because these tools are THREE MILLION YEARS OLD. They pre date homo sapiens and homo erectus. They pre date the ice age. Hell, they pre date the fucking ice caps. We don't think humans were burying their dead as we understand it today, but maybe?? These were made by homo habilis, or the "handyman", so named for their invention of tools.

It makes me feel very small to look at these, like looking up at a starry sky.
