An Introduction

Hello! I'm Codex. I use they/them pronouns mostly, but I'm also fine with it/its or neopronouns.

I really like audio dramas! I listen to quite a few of them - at last count, I have listened to around 53 podcasts in their entirety, and have a few more that I am making my way through. This is a list of podcasts, divided into past (listened to), present (listening to), and future (to listen). I have a podcast sideblog! @pod-ex-numina .

My favourite podcasts at this point are The Silt Verses, Hymns For The Road, Monstrous Agonies and woe.begone. I'm always happy to talk about podcasts, whether I've listened to them fully or not, and I'm also always happy to receive recommendations. Including ones that are already on my list - I can bump them up!

I enjoy playing the browser game Fallen London! A lot. My main character is Chiral Ocean, the Dream-Burnt Scholar! They are awful and annoying and I hate them dearly! Feel free to send them a calling card. Most posts about them can be found under my general FL tag #LON804, and posts that vaguely fit them in one way or another have been tagged #chiralcore. EDIT: Additional point! It has now finished Heart's Desire- making all the wrong choices along the way - and as such, there will be quite a few spoilers on this blog. I do try to tag them but. If you want to avoid spoilers for HD I would recommend staying away.

(This is mostly just a FL blog at this point, let's be honest.)

I also enjoy playing the browser game Pixel Cat's End - feel free to shoot me a friend request over there if you want! I am Quintessence on there.

I also like languages - I'm currently trying to learn Old English, and I love chatting about languages and linguistics in general.

what's happening here. I have no memory of creating these folders and no idea why I would have done so

OKAY post cancelled. I downloaded music earlier and it automatically organised itself into folders (and also for some reason showed that the folders were empty. although I also didn't check, and just believed the 0)

Do you see them making it?) - FUN QUESTION. i think... despite having the funds for it, she's too deep in the 'my physical abilities are Useful and that's all that matters' mindset to willingly retire. also her aging process is slightly fucked up thanks to. uh. everything. so i could see her using that as an argument against it

however with her physical disabilities, she'll probably be forced into a medical retirement before the hunt can kill her... depending on how her mental health turns out (entirely possible she'll see it coming and instead just work herself into shreds and/or get eaten by a giant monster, but also possible that she'll accept it and shift to being a menagerist 'full-time'. or a haruspex..?)

i'll most likely lean towards the side of her accepting it eventually and not dying a horrible tragic death, but there's so many potential paths!!
