Sirius had a folder and it’s filled to the brim with notes. On those notes, there’s information. Specifically, info about his friends.
It has handwritten lists about what they like, dislike, their habits, Sirius’ opinions about them and what makes them sad (just in case they piss him off).
His opinions about Remus is majority him gushing about how amazing he is and his one about James is how he’s the best friend in the world. Regulus has a list and it’s very defined and Sirius’ opinion about him is complex but in the end, Sirius ends the note with ‘I love him’. Barty has a list but the longest part is what pisses him off because Sirius rlly hates him majority of the time. The girls also have lists. Mary’s is the most detailed, saying that he loves her the most. And Marlene also has a good list too, mostly complimenting her music taste and personality.
They also each have drawings next to their names and are colour coded.
One day, Remus saw the list and it actually made him emotional. It made him emotional because people would always say that Sirius was a heartless person but this was proof that he was the opposite. Sirius was confusing. He was closed off and scared, even if he wouldn’t admit it. But this was proof that he still had a heart. And that his love for his friends and Regulus was complicated but deep.
Deeper than the love he ever felt for his true family.

It bothers me that they make Sirius look like an idiot, because that always goes hand in hand with him caring about his appearance and things like that. Can't you be attractive and intelligent at the same time? I don't want to be that person who sees misogyny in everything, BUT... the more feminine they make him, the more idiotic they make him, and that depresses me because this fandom is full of girls and we keep promoting stereotypes that hurt us
This is a great point. A big reason why a part of the fandom hates fem Sirius because a lot of the time it goes hand-in-hand with reducing him to an idiot, ripping away all his complexities for the sake of a cliché. Femininity does not equal stupidness, and just because Sirius likes to look nice does not mean he's some stupid bimbo that can't do anything without someone else's help.
Another thing relating to this is when they make Regulus really smart, and they make Sirius slow or dumb for some comic relief, which is funny until you realise how stereotypical it all is, because when I see this in fanfiction, for example, Regulus would be straight, and Sirius would be queer.
tldr: Stop projecting harmful stereotypes on characters!!

remus only laughs softly and kisses him until sirius is smiling too hard to worry. he always answers in kisses, in squeezes, in soft murmurs against his skin, until sirius believes him
