Like i know how these tests are made and that forcing answers or giving wiggle room is a conscious choice but that test everyone was passing around on tumblr some time ago? Annoying as fuck.

#tbh the lack of clarity in autism tests is a widely reported problem and i will forever have beef with them.#the shitty questions in the AQ and the fact that the RAADS-R does not give you any clarifying indications… my enemy#and i say that as an officially diagnosed person if anyone gives a shit about that. i took those tests and my results were clear as day#but that's because i'm fully capable of understanding exactly what they mean by those questions. because i know how ASD works.#(which is not the case for most self-diagnosed people i've met or seen on the internet. they know their traits for sure)#(and they have a solid understanding of why they are autistic. but absolutely clueless on the diagnostic criteria and most theory)#(which are problems that will make it harder for you to answer test questions)#also comorbity with some disorders do make 'sometimes' a really important option that should have been added. especially to the EQ imo#(but the EQ shouldn't be all that relevant to diagnosis. unfortunately it is still in use... i could talk about that forever.)#(it's also wild that some questions in the AQ and RAADS-R clearly are about empathy and i think they should be taken out)

It is truly fascinating to go and make ocs because at first! The sillies! Then suddenly, you are struck by over two hundred pounds of crushing realization as it clicks into place what exact portion of your soul you just made into a little homunculs.

#this is especially true of my ttrpg characters#i make them so fundamentally different from me and then i get jumpscared by a shared trait (hadrian)#or i only want to give them one trait of mine and they end up with something worse (senecio)
