i send asks from here, follow @tvlandofficial for the actual tv land. tvland mod's deltarune sideblog ft. some other games sometimes too. tag for personal posts is #ooc.

wanted to have references for my deltarune designs in my pinned post, so; here's my references for aunt tenna and dess holiday! you're welcome to draw fanart of these or any designs i feature on this blog (with proper credit of course)! i am also one of like three swatch/spamton fans left on earth and i feel this is important to understand if you're here. slides this across the table to you. you understand now.

i don't have a whole ton of set rules for this blog, but the one i will hold to is that i do not think "image_friend" is relevant or even a character or entity at this point in time. i do not like it. i do not want to engage with it. do not try to convince me it has any relevance. please try to be respectful of that if you can – it tends to be a brainweirdness trigger for me to see it discussed as though it is a given. if you want more of my thoughts on it, please consider reading through the second part of this. thank you!

I really appreciate your takes and analysis on the game as a whole, it feels very fresh and very cohesive and gives me a lot of food for thought. It's simply very nice to read meta from someone who paid attention to the game's multiple strands of story for once. I always want to participate in discussion but I always feel like I'd be intruding/you don't actually want other people's input (which is generally fine)

ah – i feel it's complicated? i have a very particular reading of the game that really doesn't cohere with the broader interpretation, and a lot of why it doesn't cohere is because that broader interpretation has a lot of aspects i consider personally upsetting. it's a part of why i keep wanting to distance myself – my persnicketiness is partially a "me thing", and that broader interpretation is something i have little to no control over in the long run. still – i appreciate the kind words! i'm glad my analyses are compelling.

the thing is! that! spamton copying swatch's look isn't just an extraneous detail that can be done away with – it's a huge factor in spamton's arc. so much of ch2's spamton stuff revolves around him doing so to pursue the neo body, to sneak back into the mansion now that he no longer has access to it and to the body he'd spent all his time praying to. the neo body is what he thinks will be his ticket to becoming "free", becoming "god", becoming a lightner. neo is his everything, his obsession; he could not stand to be cast away from it, he'd pretend to be its creator just to try and grasp at it one more time.

regarding the shadow crystals; it makes sense that the knight drops one, given they're the lightner that quite literally shapes the dark worlds according to their will. they could easily snap and produce one, just as they draw their blade to shape fountains. the neo body tracks, too; i think it's interesting as a point proving they don't come exclusively from the knight, as that crystal seems to come from the will of the lightner that used swatch's hands to make neo. the old man's case is sort of in-between these, then; the old man mentions he thinks someone wanted him to have it, but who that someone is may very well be the strange someone who contacted jevil and acted as spamton's benefactor, not the knight. but it easily could've been the knight, too; since the old man's case seems markedly different from the ones involving the strange someone. either way, though, i'm curious as to where jevil's came from, since it doesn't seem like the knight is just handing them out to bosses as a strict rule.

in 2026 you have to promise not to fill the entire tag with nothing but deltarune tomorrow "jokes". you have to remember that there's still so much game to discuss and remember that TWO whole chapters released only half a year ago. you have to be patient and let the new chapter come when it comes. you cannot let yourself fall into the pit of turning storytelling into fast-fashion. okay?
