Yesterday I saw a photo from the giant forest fire in Washington state. It was taken by fire jumper as he was jumping out of the plane. The photo showed a giant ring of terrifying red fire surrounding a lake, and two deer that had waded out into the water, trying to escape the fire. I cried so hard when I saw that photo and could not get it out of my mind all day. I don’t see how those beautiful creatures could survive that inferno.
Then today I saw this video clip on FB, and it lifted my heart. I cried again, but because of the sheer beauty. I have no words…
