soooo obsessed with this 2025 in film & tv edit
Ten of my favorite props I painted for TMNT Mutant Mayhem.
1. Jukebox for the Bowling Alley scene
2. Bananas for their grocery run, donβt think rhsi got modeled
3. Bread for the Grocery run
4. Grocery bags and Milk
5. Bebopβs Juke Box
6. Aprils phone case and stickers.
7. Burger from the Bowling Alley
8. Jumper cables from an early version of the Chop shop fight.
9. Mondo Geckoβs Skate Board
10. Sniper Rifle which was from a longer version of the Ice cream truck Heist that got cut down for time and clarity.
Painting props is a very fun and more relaxing part of doing Visdev. We often get chives props in between doing big heavy lifting paintings for sets as a way to cool down. Itβs great because props are a smaller task so you get the satisfaction for βsucceedingβ more quickly and often as you knock out a hand full of prop paintings. Itβs more straightforward and less psychically demanding.

When Brazilian graphic designer Carol RossettiΒ began posting colorful illustrations of women and their stories toΒ Facebook, she had no idea how popular they would become.Β
Thousands of shares throughout the world later, the appeal of Rosettiβs work is clear. Much like the street art phenomenonΒ Stop Telling Women To Smile, Rossettiβs empowering images are the kind you want to post on every street corner, as both a reminder and affirmation of womenβs bodily autonomy.Β
βIt has always bothered me, the worldβs attempts to control womenβs bodies, behavior and identities,β Rossetti toldΒ MicΒ via email. βItβs a kind of oppression so deeply entangled in our culture that most people donβt even see itβs there, and how cruel it can be.β
Rossettiβs illustrations touch upon an impressive range of intersectional topics, including LGBTQ identity, body image, ageism, racism, sexism and ableism.Β Some characters are based on the experiences of friends or her own life, while others draw inspiration from the stories many women have shared across the Internet.Β
βI see those situations I portray every day,β she wrote. βI lived some of them myself.β
Despite quickly garnering thousands of enthusiastic comments and shares on Facebook, the project started as something personal β so personal, in fact, that Rossetti is still figuring out what to call it. For now, the images reside in albums simply titled βWOMEN in english!β or βMujeres en espaΓ±ol!β which is fitting: Rossettiβs illustrations encompass a vast set of experiences that together create a powerful picture of both womenβs identity and oppression.
One of the most interesting aspects of the project is the way it has struck such a global chord.Β Rossetti originally wrote the text of the illustrations in Portuguese, and then worked with an Australian woman to translate them to English. A group of Israeli feminists also took it upon themselves to create versions of the illustrations inΒ Hebrew. Now, more people have reached out to Rossetti through Facebook and offered to translate her work into even more languages. Next on the docket? Spanish, Russian, German and Lithuanian.
Itβs an inspiring show of global solidarity, but the message of Rossettiβs art is clear in any language.Β Above all, her images celebrate being true to oneself, respecting others and questioning what society tells us is acceptable or beautiful.
βI canβt change the world by myself,β Rossetti said. βBut Iβd love to know that my work made people review their privileges and be more open to understanding and respecting one another.ββ

Um, these are like the best thing ever.

I wish i got nice things like that. Everyone is always judging me based on my choices.

Everyone needs to see this! Spread this post!!!

A few of these I absolutely needed to save to remember at times

Iβll send it again because this is wonderful

My favorite thing about this is how thereβs diversity in the women even when it isnβt relevant. There are more fat women than just the illustrations regarding body image. There are multiple women in wheelchairs even when the text isnβt focusing on it. there are so many different races and ethnicity even when thatβs not what the words are focusing on. One of them doesnβt have a left arm and it isnβt the focus. Itβs beautiful, showing the overlap between all these things.

I already reblogged this, but reblogging it again, because it makes me so happy.
these are beautiful, reblogging to spread this to people who need to see it

these make me so happy. their names are diverse as well, Iβm not sure if Iβm wording it right but oftentimes you donβt see characters of colour with more ethnic/cultural names and Iβm very happy to see that theyve included that as well.
Not usually what I use my blog for, but goddamn do I need to see some of these every now and then and goddamn do I know some people who need to see them, too!

forgor to post 2025 tumblr meme list !!!! very roughly in order. disclaimers, not comprehensive and not all necessarily new, these are just what I observed as popular over the course of the year
missed this one. however i have no idea how to describe this. so hereβs just a bunch of examples
me: i wanna talk about my ocs
someone: ok tell me about your ocs
me, suddenly convinced that every single thing about my ocs is stupid and cringy and probably offensive: i. have them
love how when people go to europe they'll say the country and when people go to the usa they'll say the state and when people go to asia they'll say the country and when people go to south america they'll say the country but when people go to africa they go to africa. like ok bru. wow. the entire thing? impressive
"when my dad was in spain last summer..." ok "when i was backpacking around thailand..." cool "back when i visited florida...'" nice "my sister's in africa right now--" BROTHER WHERE
Liberals will never ever ever ever understand this, but propaganda can be a good thing. The entire reason public health has collapsed across the world is because we have been convinced it's immoral to publish things telling people that good things are good and help them.
"Propaganda is unnecessary because the results speak for themselves," the results do not speak for themselves if nobody knows the results happened. If you grew up in a world that does not have polio anymore it makes no sense to begin believing polio could come back. You have to be told about it. Propaganda in favor of medical science is a form of education. This applies to political ideology too, btw
