We’re going to do the same thing as my previous drawing and give it a deeper meaning. In my mind, this is an alternate universe where they actually ended up together. I feel like Reze was the one for Denji. It’s a shame this seems to be one of those stories where the protagonist isn’t allowed to be happy—or I don’t know, I haven’t read the manga yet, I’ve only seen the anime and the movie. My best friend has read it, and he says it only gets worse. It makes me sad because Denji kept looking for her at that café, bringing flowers, hoping she would walk through the door one day. Those final scenes remind me a lot of my favorite song, “Gone, Gone, Gone” by Phillip Phillips, specifically the lyric:
"I’ll love you long after you’re gone, gone, gone" 🌼🎶

Vamos a hacer lo mismo de mi dibujo anterior, vamos a intentar darle un significado. En mi mente, esto es un universo alterno en donde ellos 2 terminaron bien; siento que Reze era la indicada para Denji. Lástima que parece que esta es una de esas historias en las que el prota no puede ser feliz, o no lo sé, no he leído el manga, solo el anime y la película. Aunque mi mejor amigo sí, y dice que aun se pone peor. Me da tristeza porque Denji aún iba a buscarla a esa cafetería, le llevaba flores, con la esperanza de que algún día ella cruzara por la puerta. Esas últimas escenas me recuerdan mucho a mi canción favorita, Gone Gone Gone de Phillip Phillips, más específico en la lírica:

i get that americans love their cultural imperialism, but it really does piss me off that june is “international” pride month just because something happened in the united states.
in aotearoa, june isn’t our pride, it’s theirs. marsha p johnson and sylvia rivera are their historical figures, not ours. the phrase that “you owe your rights to Black trans women” is true there, but here we owe our rights to (mostly) Māori historical figures. i have the freedoms i do because of the legacy of an entirely different set of people operating in an entirely different context at entirely different times.
But because of american cultural imperialism, most queer people in Aotearoa don’t even know our own queer history. Carmen Rupe, Ngahuia Te Awekotuku, the Dorian Society, Gillian Laundon, Georgina Beyer, and the Wolfenden Association are some of our queer history. We should know their names! we should know what they did for us! but because of the power of the american imperial machine, we don’t.
our national pride month should be july, the month that the Homosexual Law Reform Act passed in 1986. our two largest cities hold their pride festivals in february and march, respectively. american queer history has very little (or nothing, depending on who you ask) to do with our queer history. anecdotally, from my own queries, queer youth in aotearoa know more about american queer history than our own.
anyway, happy pride, americans. i’m truly sorry that most of you don’t see the negative impact your nation’s culture has on the rest of the world. and to the rest of the world reading this, try searching for your own country and culture’s queer history, don’t accept the american narratives as your own. we deserve our own histories divorced from the cultural hegemony of the USA.
Some autistics have an odd view on what a special interest within autism actually is, and it’s a very damaging take.
Special interests within autism can cause clinically significant impairments in one’s life.
Special interests can borderline obsession and addiction and compulsion. They can even run inline with addiction, obsession, and compulsion.
Special interests aren’t always knowing everything about it, researching it, and infodumping, or engaging in it in multiple ways.
Sometimes autistics don’t know much about them, some will not research them, some autistics won’t infodump about them. Some autistics only every engage in their interest in a very restricted and fixated way, a very limited way.
I honestly think some autistics get special interests and hobbies mixed up. You are allowed to have hobbies you are very passionate about, love to talk about, and have a vast knowledge on them. There are many allistics in this world who have hobbies just like that and with such an intensity.
Special interests for autistics aren’t always cute and quirky and fun. They can be damaging and impairing, and cause stress/anxiety. They can be inappropriate, dangerous, or bad.
