like “oh hahahaha jonathan crackhead lol hes so stupid” but like in all honesty, if i had to deal with a brother who was being constantly supernaturally tortured, a sister who lost her superpowers, a mother who was slowly forgetting about me, only one friend who is kind of losing it, a slowly failing relationship and a father who, though absent, has left a permanent mark on my life in a very bad way, i would start smoking weed too??? like i get you jonathan i would also want to disassociate??? why are coping mechanisms allowed as soon as its the weird, conventionally unattractive character and then we make it a joke???
