I don’t agree with Dick taking Robin away from Tim..

Like sure whatever I get that Damien needed something or whatever the fucking reason was blah blah blah… But honestly Tim EARNED robin.

He was the only one trying and willing to keep Bruce going. He kept Bruce from killing himself because he had Tim to take care of. ( I won’t let yall try to convince me that Bruce didn’t like Tim in the early days cuz that’s a bull-faced lie)

He did what Dick WASN’T WILLING TO DO. He stayed by Bruce’s side until he could breathe again.

He was Bruce’s best Robin. The one most like him. They loved each other… Then for them to all believe Bruce was dead and immediately get kicked out of the position he kept alive for a kid that’s been actively trying to kill him is so fucked.

And don’t even try me with the “It wasn’t Bruce’s mantel to give. It was Dicks”

First of all… Bruce didn’t give Tim robin in the first place; that was Alfred… Bruce didn’t want another Robin after Jason.

2nd of all… Dick quit being robin.. yes he was upset about Bruce giving the mantel to Jason but by the time Tim was robin, he was fine.

And 3rd… THERE WOULD BE NO MANTEL TO “GIVE” IF BRUCE DIDN’T TRAIN HIM IN THE FIRST PLACE.

So yes. I believe that Tim should’ve been given the robin title back or been the only robin once Bruce returned. But the DC writers suck ass so…

It bothers my soul when I read headcanons or fics where the batfamily find out that Bruce didn’t adopt Dick and then they get mad at him?¿?

Like Dick didn’t tell Bruce to his face that he didn’t want to be adopted because he wasn’t going to replace his father…

Like HELLO?!? Did y’all forget about that or something? Like Bruce is not gonna repeatedly ask Dick if he can adopt him when he’s already given him the answer..

Every time I see something about adoption within a blended family irl, it’s the kid that asks because ITS THEIR DECISION!!! So if Dick wanted to be adopted later on he should’ve said something. Like bro he’s got all these kids why wouldn’t he adopt you?¿?

Like you’re literally the reason he started to live instead of just surviving…

Even tho it’s funny for Bruce to be bad at doing things. I want fics where Bruce is just GOOD at things, and I don’t mean things that show off his smarts. I want it to show off his natural athleticism.

Like just being good at skateboarding, or gymnastics (obviously not as good as dick), I wanna see his ass parkour up the side of a building. Random shit that the kids don’t think he’d be good at.

And they’d always being like “When tf did you learn that?!?” and he’s just like “I didn’t learn it” and then he tells them in the most obscure way possible that it goes with some training he did before being Batman and just drops some insane dad lore.

I love the idea that Bruce has really bad insomnia. I see it as he can’t and is slightly afraid to sleep because of his nightmares. So he’s just constantly awake and everybody in his life tries to get him to sleep. But it’s never consistent.

But I like Bruce and Clark dating without anybody knowing. People just know that they’re really close. But with the kids being the detectives he raised them to be, they noticed that they’re closer than just friends. And they’re trying to see what Bruce sees in this big ass country bumpkin. So they start to watch their interactions. And they see that Bruce relaxes once Clark comes around. And they see how attentive Clark is towards Bruce. How gentle and loving, caring and understanding he is even when Bruce is being difficult.

But where they really see it is when Bruce has had a really bad day. He’s exhausted, he’s been in meeting after meeting at Wayne Enterprises, and then on patrol for hours after. He’s beaten and bruised. And all he wants to do is go to sleep. But he can’t. His brain won’t shut off. The kids try to help him unwind a little bit. Nothing seems to help. But Clark comes in randomly just to check in on Bruce. And he sees how wound up he is.

So he comes up behind him and wraps his arms around his shoulders, just to get him to stop moving for a moment. and starts running his fingers through his hair, and tells him to breathe. He’s humming something in his ears that the kids can’t hear but it’s something that Martha would hum to Clark when he got overwhelmed and needed to be grounded.

And slowly, but surely they watch their father fall asleep in Clark’s arms. Clark picks him up and takes him to his room. All the kids following completely baffled that Bruce Wayne, Batman, a man who stayed awake for over 72 hours because he was too stubborn to just lay down for a moment, allowed himself to be vulnerable with someone enough to fall asleep in their arms. And they’re watching as Clark slowly undresses Bruce out of the bat suit. No sexual intent behind it.. Just love and care. A genuine want to just help.

And that’s the moment that they understand what Bruce sees in Clark. Clark’s looking at him like a man in love. Like he’s never seen anything more beautiful than Bruce. He tucked him in completely and is now sitting on the edge of the bed still running his fingers through his hair; gently so he doesn’t wake him up.

The kids decide to leave Clark alone with Bruce. Because they’ve never seen anyone love and care about someone the way that Clark does. The only person that’s cared for Bruce like that is Alfred. But even this is different. And they know that their father is in good hands.

And they walk away hoping that this is a forever kind of thing.
