I’ve been wondering too! And i think you can do two reads.
First would be: the shot is from her perspective, and it means he’s always in her mind, even when she’s swimming.
They have established that when she swims she’s like in another world. But at that moment she’s too aware of him to be able to do that. He’s always in the background, along the fact that they’re alone in the house and all that. So, she’s swimming, but she’s still very much there, with him.
On the other hand, i think the whole scene works as a replacement of the pool scenes in s1 and s2.
He’s trying to keep away from her, so they can’t really have him go and sit on the side of the pool and watch her swin.
So, it’s like, she’s still swimming, he’s still there, but it’s the day hours (safer) and he’s kinda glancing at her from very far away (safer x2) and not really interacting with her (safer x3).
