I dislike the framing of beer (and a little bit wine) as inherently gross except for the alcohol content. Ideas that fruity cocktails are delicious while framing beer as “wheat tea” as I’ve seen countless times to me shows a very strange view about drinks? With food it’s normal to have sweet dishes, but also sour, bitter, and salty dishes. But with drinks people seem to agree that drinks should be sweet and that a non sweet drink is inherently not as tasty as a sweet drink. I think that it’s really interesting to drink something with complex flavors beyond sweetness and it’s weird to me the idea that women are supposed to drink sweat cocktails with fruit instead of beer because “women actually care about taste”. It all feels like a very strange way to frame things
I think a large part of the trans people in sports thing is that they genuinely think men are superior. They think men are so superior to women that it is impossible for modern science to take someone they believe is a man and make them on par with women. Of course it’s transphobia but there’s an obvious underlying issue here where the idea that men are inherently superior and that superiority can NEVER be challenged. It’s disgusting. Trans women are women and deserve to play women’s sports.
