The first half of this episode was quite easy, actually!
[Chapter 13] Scene 11
The establishing shot is by me and the interrogation of Elmyra before her flashback begins is mostly shot-for-shot, with a few cut-ins such as Barret's line, which is taken from other scenes, and some other shifting to accommodate the OG's script (which is more different than Remake's than you might think!)
The athletic Tifa mod is ready for download :)
Return to Sector 5 | Extended Scenes
An extra little bit of pacing between episodes 28 and 29. The dialogue is modified from OG. The music begins with the unreleased version of Rotting Pizza that plays at Sector 5 station, and then fades into the official Rotting Pizza remake after the fight with the whole eaters (or gorgers).
The crown jewel of the episode is the 45-second long establishing shot. It's a composite of several takes - a section of tunnel that long actually isn't rendered all at the same time. What I did was I created save files at various places in the tunnel, marked the camera track, and then took the shot several times at each save point, clipping each take when the camera moved past what was rendered (or curved down the tunnel enough to hide the tunnel de-rendering in the distance.
Of course, I film everything slowed down to heck and then sped up, but if you want a very nice slow version of the opening shot, here it is with the full unreleased Rotting Pizza.
Onto a flashback episode! Stay tuned.
I’m on Tumblr for sapphic fanart, but it keeps trying to put me on “trans men vs trans women” discourse, this is the only website where I see that, and irl we’re all united in our fight for liberation. And Threads? Threads is all Les v Bi discourse and trans ppl seem to all get along.
Look people. My irl friend group is a happy mandala of diverse genders, all of whom are lesbians or bisexuals with no problems. Please stop fighting, we’re all f@££0+$ in the eyes of the state.
the grinch is fucked up right. he was created specifically as a critique of the commercialization of christmas, but now all his edge has been sanded off. now he's a generic mascot for "hates christmas," which is great to have because the commercialization of christmas has become so overbearing that that's a demographic you can market to! and now he's just part of the Christmas Fold. he's santa's edgier joker counterpart. he has become the very thing he sought to destroy. back in november i checked out a customer with a $1100 order and most of it was grinch merchandise
Why does everyone think fiction is just fantasy wish fulfillment now and not like an exploration of themes and ideas
People will be like “this movie is evil and gross because it depicts a predatory relationship” and then you watch the movie in question and it’s about how preying on young women is bad and impacts their lives negatively
“Why would they do this instead of just making everyone in the movie nice and normal and good” so we would have this conversation….
It's almost laughable what the internet and very young queer people have done to the words butch and especially femme. I think I could go on for hours and hours on how important that little yet huge letter "e" is at the end of the word. People have turned this special term into something so superficial and tedious. To them "femme" simply means hyperfeminine. It's sweet, pink, docile, delicate, soft, submissive. Which of course, certain femmes actually do identity with those words but little do these people know or understand is that to be femme is to be just as hard and aggressive as what they see being butch is. It's in gesture, in stature, in autonomy, in courage, in love that is so deep and true for other butches and fellow femme sisters. Femme is something inherently erotic and so sensual. Our history literally shows that femmes used their physical privilege to protect and stand up for butches, femmes were the ones who would go out and work due to the fact that people would not hire such masculine presenting women. In conclusion, to be femme is to be beautiful and lovely but it's also to use your fucking voice and know who and what came before us.
