In a fantasy au Rice would be a witch who lives in a little cabin in the woods who wants to help people but is too shy to live near civilization and Bourbon would be a famous and popular knight who gets commissioned by a nearby village to “deal with the evil witch in the woods”. So she goes to Rice’s house and kinda just comes in swinging because she has a mission to complete and is under the assumption Rice is an active threat to the village and then Rice wipes the floor with her but she feels super bad about it and heals Bourbon and apologizes even though Bourbon was the one who attacked her. So of course Bourbon has this moment of realization that she has been misinformed so while she’s having some tea in Rice’s little cabin after Rice offered her dinner cause it was getting late she decides to stick around to protect Rice now because if the villagers were willing to hire a straight hit on her than she could be in danger and it’s her duty as a knight to protect the innocent and also she’s immediately smitten but she doesn’t realize it yet
