Spring arrived in Yokohama, slowly, softly, faintly... So gentle it almost goes unnoticed. It creeps up from its slumber during the Winter, introducing itself once again to the world, in the melting snow, the single green leaf, the flower that peaks itself through the concrete, in the spring breeze, the warming weather.

Also hello! Mini announcement regarding my Narumi Gen series “the hedgehogs dilemma” (that was long due already)

I think you can tell that the series is on an unspoken hiatus at the moment. I had a great delight writing and thinking for that universe but because death of a major character (oc, not canon, but important to reader regardless) plays a factor at the center of the plot— I’ve been avoiding this series for a while. So far 2025 has been a year filled with too much death and despair for me and especially for series like this, I tend to get a little caught up and write with my entire feelings.

With how this year has been progressing and how this fic is supposed to go, it is difficult to write the bits without this topic of grief and death after a while and it’s not something I want to think about on my little escape corner yet. Thank you for your understanding and I love you all<3

SUPREME trope with him especially if u like it when a man’s yearning has to marinate a little (or for a few years) to really hit ! nearly everything i write abt him has this trope shadowing the story; it’s almost impossible for me to detach him from it!

i think the reason why it works (at least!!! in my head) for him is bc it stems from the idea that kaiser doesn’t build connections easily with the exception of ness and maybe isagi if you look really closely are the exception—both of whom have rather in-depth connections to kaiser and how he develops as a person. so to build that with him as a childhood friend would produce a bond made from loyalty & adaptation on your end and gratitude & devotion from his.
