Hi! I’ve decided to post my life updates here as well as spacehey, so here goes!

Okay so while i’ve not got my voice back and am still a bit sick (context: I got sick around christmas, like every year), my brain is working and I’ve been writing more, so I thought I’d start on one of my sidequests for this year: starting to post my first fanfic!

Now I’ve written fics before, but never posted them, so this will be a first!

I’ve gotten through half the first chapter, and if I hold myself to my writing goals i should reasonably be able to put out a chapter per month or two ^w^

Bit nervous, as it’s reaaaally self-indulgent, but oh well-

#1 — The Conjuring (2013) — Watched on the 22nd

Super scary! The tension and scares are really effective!

Now, this has been on my “Nope” list ever since i got into horror, because it touches aspects of my faith that are very real to me and I did not trust myself to not get paranoid because of that.

However, after reading the original true story, I couldn’t help but give it a try. Either it stuck with it and wasn’t very scary, or it didn’t but wouldn’t make me paranoid since not really grounded in reality anymore. It was the second option, much to my delight! Guess I’ve gotta take off the others from the franchise from the Nope List and add them to my watchlist!

#3 — Wake Up Dead Man - A Knives Out Mystery (2025) —Watched on the 31st

Considering I was raised catholic and I watched this feverish af, this was a wild ride!!

Loved how it was all set-up, loved the shots, the jokes, the acting, the biblical references, the toally-not-a-cult thing, just wow!!

#4 — Gremlins (1984) — Watched on the 31st

A rewatch for me, a first for my lovely partner!

This is a teenage-hood classic to me, and it started the trend of me calling myself a gremlin because they’re just little chaos creatures :3

Love the puppetry!! And also the creativity and pure chaos of the kills (both human and gremlin)!!
Speaking of, damn the women in this movie decided they weren’t going down and we love them for that!

Plus, Guizmo is a little sweetheart and he makes me melt <3

#2 — Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 (2025) — Watched on the 23rd

Wooh was I hyped waiting for this one! Went to see it in theaters with my partner as a birthday outing and damn was I fangirling!
It stayed in the same vein as the first on in terms of being for the fans imo, even with Scott taking this as an opportunity to actually write lore he wants to instead of winging it!

Loved all the tiny references i caught—even if I’m sure there I plenty i didn’t catch: good excuse for a rewatch~

📜2026 Goals & Sidequests

I meant to do this before the new year, but I got stuck in bed sick so—better late than never!

In this context: a goal is something I aim to make a habit while a sidequest is a one off objective.

Goals

✴ Clean my room every week

✴ Have 2 at least 1h-long learning sessions per week

✴ Write 1000 words per week (can be on anything, fiction, journaling, blogging,…)

✴ Read a book per month

✴ Cook once a week

✴ Get out of the house at least once a week

✴ Take myself on a date once a month

✴ Celebrate every Sabbath this year

✴ Take & compile 10 pics a month

Sidequests

✴ Make a personal cookbook (I have arfid and an ed, so food is hard and I’m trying to make it healthier and more enjoyable ^v^)

✴ Create a zine (and maybe make copies and distribute them in my town’s book boxes?)

✴ Make my first cosplay

✴ Make a day-to-day inspired soundtrack

✴ Compose a song for my nan

✴ Finish a first draft (with publishing goal)

✴ Start posting my first longfic

✴ Start making a map of the places I love

Keeping up with the recaps so far!

Okay, so beginning of the month was my bday (yippee ✨), and I made my mi-cuit au chocolat (moelleux au chocolat pour les autres français) that we shared with mu mom, my nan and my mom’s gf on the day. That evening was spent with my lovely gf as well ^w^

Lessons stopped early this month, and both my choir and theater rehearsals were in the first half of the month as well, so I had 2 weeks to “rest” (in “ because I am bad at resting and I always get sick this time of year).

I celebrate Yule discreetly because I was getting a bit sick; ended up just setting up the 12 wishing nights ritual. For those who don’t know, basically you write a 12 wishes on 12 pieces of paper, and everyday you burn (or get rid of some other way) of one. The one left on the 1st January is what your guides would like you to focus on for the upcoming year.

Once my gf was free (23rd), we went on a date in Liège to see FNAF2 and take a walk in the town,s Christmas Village/Market. I got a tiny gift to give to her parents since I was invited over for Christmas; got shea butter for my mom, my gf and I; as well as a candle. I also went home with a crystal ring and a candle holder with a little spinning umbrella with charms on top that spins with the candle’s heat, both courtesy of my lovely gf 💖

Next day was Christmas Eve with her family, and it went surprisingly well! (Their parents, mom mostly, didn’t like me at all for most of our relationship, and it only started to go well recently)

We ate a burgundy fondue and it was pretty good! Lacked some aromatic herbs and spices but I still enjoyed it a lot! We also played some board games—in which the parents joined?? Christmas miracle much— and watched Beetlejuice (very season relevant, I know XD)

The next day, we opened the gifts—they got me fruity infusions! /pos— and we spent the afternoon playing Mario Kart and Overcooked 2 with her siblings on the switch, it was pretty fun!

Their elderly doggo also came to me for cuddles, she’s such a sweet dog 🥺

Coming back home, since I stopped medicated for the most part when i wasn’t home, my big cold got much worse™️, so I pulled out the big guns. Ended up not being enough, and i ended the year on antibiotics, wooh ✨

This month, I watched The Conjuring on the 22nd and FNAF2 on the 23rd— once again, very season relevant XD

I also watched the new Knives Out Mystery, Wake Up Dead Man, with my gf on the 31st; as well as Gremlins (rewatch for me, new for her). Reviews coming soon!

I wrote 7219 words this month! That’s nearly twice as much as last month, and I didn’t even really write during my time off cause I got sick, so woah!

This was my December! Looking forwards to see what 2026 will bring! ✨

I want to keep trace of my life, but I am terrible at diary type stuff so I decided to make little monthly recaps! Here’s the first one.

I started the month with health check-ups. Everything is great, and my binges are more and more under control so yay!

Then I had an info workshop with my business class where I learnt a few interesting things about useful services in my town and region. I also met and listened to a very passionate guy talk about ants (he made it fascinating, I could’ve listened to him for hours ngl).

Last week, I had theatre and we made a lot of progress on building up the show! I also wrote and performed a very nice bit of poetry we’ll use for the show!

I also saw one of the best shows I’ve ever seen with my theatre group! This company does film or photo montages and dubs and follies them on stage, it’s super cool! Their humor is also fucking hilarious.

This one was called Blockbuster, and they collaged iconic scenes from more than 160 popular american movies from around the 80’s and 90’s to make a whole other story line (about the rise of fascism and such) out of it. The end mise en scène was mindblowing: they staged a whole “OMGs, we need to evacuate they’re going to blow up the theatre!” with lights fake falling and all!!

There also was a very very funny joke where the military chief asks what they should do to his superior, who phones someone else to ask, etc etc, then back down, until the instructions are all messed up, and they end up blowing up the building. It’s not a joke you can make funny by writing it out, but I’ll remember it when I read this hopefully X)

I also had my monthly choir rehearsal! It went really well, and i talked to quite a few nice people, both at the rehearsal and on my way there and back ^v^

Last note: I wrote 4192 words this month! It’s less than I wanted, but most importantly it’s a lot more than what i’ve managed monthly for the last few years!!

Anyways, that was november for me! Mostly routine stuff i didn’t mention (namely, business lessons twice a week and music lessons) but hey, still a pretty nice month!
