Lots of thoughts recently. Everything feels plastic.

I could go on and on about why all that AI "art" is bad. I could mention theft, lack of creativity, it's impact on the work field and environment, but countless people have already said all that. I wanted to touch on something that to me is the most utterly wrong about all of it.

Art is more than just something pretty to look at or listen to. It's therapeutic. It's a form of communication. A tool for human connection. It's a pure, human need.

I remember one time I got INSANELY high off of edibles while playing Among Us, and it quickly became apparent to the other players online. I forget how honestly but literally anything "sus" I did was ignored by everyone because I was so fucking high. I tested this theory by standing in front of a body and the person that actually reported it didn't even mention me. The funniest part was when I was trying to do wires, I kept fucking up over and over again, so I was just standing in front of wires for actual minutes trying to figure it out. A small crowd of players gathered around me to watch and would get mad every time someone reported a body or emergency meeting because "she's never going to get her tasks done if you keep interrupting them." I don't think anyone cared about winning at that point, they just wanted to see the high crew mate succeed in her tasks.

I will forever be annoyed at how basically all fandom can only see characters either as props to be shuffled around for ships or judged as real people and not the vessels for narrative that they are. No intended meaning, narrative or theme can be read, just endless, meaningless nonsense.

AHHH MOLLY CONCEPT ARTS MOLLY CONCEPT ART!! I understand why they went with a more streamlined look, but I just so adore the ones that include his shirt and coat sleeves that match his original design; they're just lovely and show so much of his personality, really makes his silhouette read Molly to me.

But I am also fond of his current design (would love love if we got to keep him around longer to see him add to the coat more, I think that'd be so fun ; ;) Also, love that when Taliesin said he really liked how the new coat design is reminiscent of a ringmaster and gives him, "a sense of gravitas," Liam just added, "He does seem to look okay without his clothes on, though." Very very true, cannot wait for Molly wrapped in the most gaudy Platinum Dragon tapestry only--
