BeQuiet

BeQuiet, phlegm and lethal

Hello BeQuiet! Could you tell us about yourself? ( Age, where you live, your latest job, hobbies... you can elaborate)
Hello I´m Andrej Bequiet Traudt. Hanover is currently my hometown. It‘s also the city where I grew up. My current job is Industrial Electronics Technician. I am working in the company for 15 years now (3,5 years in education and 11,5 years as an Industrial Electronics Technician).

When did you start playing and how did the game kept you playing it?
I started playing Hearthstone in the early beta but I lost interest quickly. I tried to play other games like Dota. I couldn‘t reach the Esport scene so i decided to move back to Hearthstone as it’s a one man game, and I don‘t have to arrange when to play or what to play. After moving back to Hearthstone I hit legend really easily and decided to test my luck in tournaments, where i had ups and downs. As a competitor this motivated me to get better. This led me to my 2 biggest achievements: winning the first HCT Germany back in 2018 and doing a Top 32 at Spring Prelims.

What's your best memory so far in your career?
My best Memory was driving to the first Dreamhack in Sweden. It was the first trip I‘ve ever done for Esport. Also not having a accommodation so I slept at Dreamhack and went straigt up into top 32. I had a ton of fun with some of the Hearhstone guys.

Thoughest opponent you played (someone whose skill impressed you while playing against him, mostly back in your early days as a competitor probably)
First of all I still do compete :-D I am impressed by all the Ladder grinders. Most people do'nt know how much time it takes to hit the finish you need. When I tried to do so back in 2018 I had to take days off from work to get a finish. And it wasn't only 1 or 2 days. Most of the time I had to took the whole week off to get my finish. And seeing players doing it over and over impresses me.
Lot of scary opponents on the EU ladder especially in the past. Sjow, Kolento, Neirea, Shtanudachi to only name a few.

You managed to qualify for the first Masters Tour of 2021, what seems to explain this success?
This is what I like playing tournaments and trying to get an edge in every game. I feel bad if I go into a serie where im unfavorite. It occured at the end of week 1 qualifiers and also at the beginning of week 2. So I switched decks, and tries new ones. My lineups were kinda reflecting what i said. I‘ve got 4 Top 8‘s with 3 different lineups, and I was really happy only with the last one. Masters Tour qualifier are evolving from week to week. So a player has to predict the meta and try to be the new meta :-P

What websites/tools  are valuable enough for you to be exploited?
As every Hearthstone player im using https://hsreplay.net, https://www.hearthstonetopdecks.com and https://www.d0nkey.top.

How do you feel in this metagame?
Yeah of course I feel really good afer qualifying. There‘re some decks I can‘t play. This just means I don‘t like to play them. But most of the current decks are fitting my playstyle so I have fun to play Hearthstone. This is the most important thing for me.

What's the most underestimated deck in your opinion right now?
The most underestimated deck (was) Burn Mage. It‘s on the rise at the moment while I‘m talking and will be one of the Tier 1 decks than this article is live.

How do you deal with RNG after that much time of playing?
I‘m thinking a lot after tournament series or even on Ladder and try to see things I could have done better. But if these comes to a point where I can‘t handle it anymore I stop playing Hearthstone and do something with my girlfriend or prepare lunch for us. So I‘m trying to do different things outside of Hearthstone and, probably more important, outside of the Computer.
How does sharing with teammates affect your considerations, specifically in this team as a second question?
It‘s always good to have someone who you can talk to. My teammates have their own understanding of the game. If I’m about to submit a deck they say it was not worth the time to play, they help me to optimize my lineup. We share the decks we had success with on Ladder and trying to find a better build. Its just cool to talk to someone who shares the same passion as me.

How do you manage the language factor for team events?
I got used to it. My first events were where I only hanged out with German players. But later I got used to English and got to talk with other players as well. Probably most people don‘t know about me that Russian is my first language, which I don‘t speak very well but I can :-D

How crucial was playing on multiple regions for ladder qualifications?
It‘s really hard and a huge time investment to get the finish you need. And if you are in a bad mindset you are probably not able to do it. At the Top ranks all player are the same. I don‘t feel like there is an easier server; at least not for Top 100.

What would you suggest to the people reading for you to get better and maybe get a chance to qualify this month?
I learned Hearthstone by watching a lot of different streamers and I still do. For open cups I would say try the decks you are most comfortable with. Of course you can copy good lineups but if you aren‘t used to these decks you won‘t get the results.

BeQuiet, is the MAX Team known in Germany for its contents/events? How has your arrival been perceived?
We get more and more players from Germany in our tournaments. But I have the feeling that they have still doubts to participate in. I noticed the MAX Team when I was following some French players like Den or Odemian. If the Germans are not following any French speaking players it‘s hard to get noticed. It may change with me since I have some German followers but this won‘t be a lot. Having prganized a Confrontation with Seiko and IamThanh was a smart move.
My arrival in the MAX Team was very good! I got to speak with a lot of people in the team. I had doubts about the language, but they were gone after the first week. I‘m really hapy to be part of the MAX Team.

Fun questions, second part of the interview:
If MAX League of Nations final was France against Germany, who would you support and why?

Of course Germany. Im so Thankful for this country it gave me the opportunity to have a better live.

What should be the forfeit for the MAX team player with the last round record?
He'd have to sing Happy Birthday on each players birhtday, and upload it on MAX Team's social networks :-D

If you had to play 6 hours a day for an entire month a game mode that is non constructed, what would it be?
I would play my Real life game. Honestly I don‘t like playing any other mode or any other game.

What was your favorite HearthStone moment of all time?
My favorite moment was than Tyler's Mom did a dab after he won. I wish my Mom would do this for me ;-P
