I can’t speak for other social media webbed sites but I really enjoy how tumblr seems to just completely spin a wheel on whatever media is hot right now. Like yeah sometimes it’s a new show that’s big and actively coming out but also sometimes there will be a solid month where half my dash is Columbo memes. Defy authority. Get really into an book from the 1800s. Watch shows that haven’t aired in 40 years. Celebrate the anniversary of the Boston Molasses Flood. Become unmarketable

i keep seeing posts from people about how they’re shocked robby pulls all these hot women, and like… guys. he's a tall, bearded, enormously competent doctor with big steady hands, sad eyes, and a motorcycle. if you don't get it i fear you may just not be old enough yet.

I’m actually kinda interested in this question of like, how attractive is Robby in the world of the Pitt? In canon, Langdon is referred to as one of those problematic ‘hot ones’ by Princess and Perlah on one of their Tagalog gossip sessions. And Abbot is like a male Mary Sue come to life— basically Superdoc who happens to be ripped. But Robby is more of an everyman— how is he meant to read to those around him?

My personal headcanon is that Robby has way more game than you’d think just observing him at work. He’s probably quite self-aware, which is hot. In his youth he was pretty in ways that caught the eye. Maybe had a track record of students crushing on him (Shamsi implies as much when she warns him about being ‘pressionable’ to Victoria). But now he’s more grizzled, weathered, and authoritative, and he knows that works for many people. Now he’s got grown folks hotness. He has no trouble turning on the charm like a faucet. It’s the fear that — past the first rapturous honeymoon period — anyone would want to actually know him that’s the fear.

(also he doesn’t know this but he’s played by Noah fucking Wyle so that helps lol)

Andor Make It Stop | Who Else Knows?

i'm rewatching andor S2 while sick* and two really big things stick out this time:

- the incredible choice to make wilmon a fully realized and integral character even though he's a bit player in S1

- the subtle but excellent parallels between syril and cassian, both of whom are valuable assets but serious threats to their own command structures

* don't.... don't do this if you're a usamerican. just. not right now. learn from my mistakes.

the things that do not work for me about S2 are:

- bc the show walks us into rogue one, it has to get star wars-y, which s1 could largely avoid. this is not the writers' fault, it's a function of the IP;

- nothing about the bix and cassian storyline works for me, and that is the writers' fault. what the actual fuck you guys
