some important advice i always give to new artists just starting out:
"it has to be perfect
if it's not perfect, i, shen comix, will personally kick your ass"

BLEH anyways did a lil redraw of a drawing I made back in 2024 and tbh I see a lot of improvement from then and now. That actually makes me feel a lot happier with my progress. Other than that, no longer in the orange light, you get blue and green lights instead with a little bit more focus on the perspective. The cold feel. I also changed their clothes cuz the ones in the original are UGLY! Don’t let me cook ever.
Really proud of how this came out ^^
(Extras and 2024 piece down here vvv )
Need everyone to start talking aboout weaver queen ending hornet right NOW💥💥💥
these are incredibly self indulgent i got inspired by this fic that has her be a feral little freak. I just think shes so interesting and neat. She has fought so hard to keep her pale instincts under control (for many reasons but among them i think its cuz she has seen the damage that higher beings can do when driven by the instinct to dominate and be worshipped, and she’s not particularly fond of the outcome) only to be thrust into an existance that would at the very least make it about a billion times harder to keep them under control (and at worse make her GMS 2) its such an interesting conflict to me idk.
Also i like giving her similarities to her dad and making her hate it. Big fan of making her daddy issues final boss 🫶
Hell yeah it’s like a more fancy version of @redfirefox-55’s weaver queen
cruelty is so easy. youre not special for choosing it
"The trouble is that we have a bad habit, encouraged by pedants and sophisticates, of considering happiness as something rather stupid. Only pain is intellectual, only evil interesting. This is the treason of the artist; a refusal to admit the banality of evil and the terrible boredom of pain."
-Ursula K. LeGuin, The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas
"Evil is boring. Right? I kinda believe in the banality and mundaneness of evil. Evil is just selfish impulses, which at the end of the day are really easy to understand. It’s easy to understand why people do bad things. It’s like “yeah, ok, you’re selfish and scared and cruel, I get it”. Being good is complex and beautiful and hard." - Brennan Lee Mulligan
"How monotonously alike all the great tyrants and conquerors have been: how gloriously different are the saints." --C.S. Lewis
