little whump things: The Road to Unconsciousness

- The Mumble: Whumpee is semi-lucid at best, so close to being unconscious and pain free but oh, it hurts, and they groan and mumble nonsense under their breath as the pain keeps them from passing out

- The Fight or Flight: whumpee is definitely out but is dreaming about the fight/injury/event; twitchy fingers and tossing their head because the danger is gone but the trauma continues to play out in their head

- The Lazarus: Whumpee is finally safe and on a whole lot of drugs (the good stuff) and manages to wake up from their heavy sedation. Caretaker, baffled, tells them to sleep. whumpee basically goes 'alright peace' and immediately passes out again

- The Park and Fly: whumpee gets whacked across the head, sits down to recover thinking its fine, promptly passes out without warning

- The Good Stuff: "Hey did you say there was a sedative in this? I don't think its-"

- The Blink and You'll Miss It: Whumpee gets clocked and wakes up what feels like seconds later having missed the entire fight

- The "I Got This" : whumpee does not have this

- The "Oops" : well that was stupid but there they go

I can’t tell you just how much I love a good Whumperee. A Whumpee who is a Whumper to some people but also has their own Whumper. A character that is absolutely not a good person, but also not the villain of their story.

Just… just give me a good Whumpee who—forced to or not—hurt people but gets hurt themselves just as much. It’s just so delicious to me.

My favourite variant of this is an Assassin character who has a contractor/contractors that treat them like absolute shit. Like a living weapon Whumpee / Whumperee that has little remorse about being bad, but they are still a Whumpee getting hurt by their Handlers/Owners.

I’d like to think healing magic naturally doesn’t produce the soothing light it’s associated with. Rather, healers make the light on purpose to distract you from wound gore and keep you calm.

Healer, lying: It’s just a tiny cut, don’t worry :)

love when a living weapon still has some conflicted loyalty towards their whumpers btw. when they're loyal to the cause but not the people. or attached to the people but not the cause. or attached to the dream of what could/should have been, or something. not picky. i just like them CONFLICTED

Waking up captured

Content: restraints, classic tied-to-a-chair vibe, defiant/scared whumpee

• The shock as captive realizes their hands are bound.
• The flinch-like jerk against the bonds.
• And another, harder jerk, just to make sure they felt that right. Shit, they did.
• Panic rising, tendons standing out on their neck as they try to subtly look around for their captor, or maybe some way of escape
• Wondering if screaming will do any good. Too choked up to try.
• Leaning forward angrily when their captor shows up
• Trying to make eye contact, but unable to keep it up. It's embarrassing to be so helpless. It's infuriating. And there's nothing they can do about it.

ive always rly liked the idea of a member of a group of adventurers having what everyone assumes is very well trained hawk and then at the end of their journey its casually revealed that thats actually just his buddy whos a shapeshifter and just rly likes being a hawk

annoying when shows set in the medieval period have the women with thier hair just long and unstyled and out . girl go put on your wimple girl 🤦‍♀️
