I had so many dndads thoughts today and now while I’m winding down for the night I’m just gonna make a couple posts about it because I’m so normal about the teen group.
Normal wasn’t the best man at his best friends wedding.
Like it was Taylor, obviously. Linc and Scary got married, and Linc made Taylor his best man for sure, and Scary probably made Erica her maid of honor, and Normal, the guy who went through LITERALLY HEAVEN AND HELL with these people, probably gets the same position that like, any of their family would. Which is sweet in its own right, yada yada Normal having a new family he’s never had but:
Normal, who is constantly throughout season 2 CLINGING to any kind of affirmation. Normal, aka “SHUT IT NORMAL CLEAR COMMS CLEAR COMMS ALRIGHT LINC BUDDY IT’S JUST ME AND YOU” being a decent chunk of Taylor and Linc’s interactions when it’s just the three of them. Normal, who has so much in common with Scary, the one person he was desperately afraid to not open up to and lose, and she was the one person who was terrified of not opening up at all. Normal, who watched the boy he liked die in his arms.
And he’s still the 4th wheel even at the wedding of 2 people. Think about that. Normal i’m so sorry.
And there’s no way Scermie and Normal stayed a thing, so at this point in his life Normal is going there and while i’m sure it’s wonderful to see these people get together and be so close and see his friends so happy and to see his friends again and of course the gang is still going to love and appreciate him and show him a ton of extra love and care as opposed to other guests there, but like, it’s gotta be a sickening level of isolation too.

truly cant put into words the amount of both glee and overwhelming sadness i felt when link called out normal cuz on one hand yeah u go link he is very much projecting onto scary really hard but at the same time jeeeeezzzz man normals projection isnt totally unfounded

These are just the last three fics I wrote. I appreciate the likes, believe me I do, but you have to understand. Likes do nothing for content creators. It’s the reblogs. Because that’s how you find shit on your dashboard. Through reblogs. Not likes. This isn’t twitter or tiktok or instagram. This is a website that’s run by the reblog system.
Reblogging helps content creators put their stuff out there. Why do you think so many people stopped writing fanfic and creating beautiful fanart and edits? It’s because they put in hours of work and don’t get nearly enough notes for their masterpieces. Yes we do this because we enjoy it but like...some validation won’t hurt. A boost of confidence here and there might be all someone needs to finish whatever thing they started and left.
Anyway, I’m still going to reblog my shit...
I think I’m gonna restart blogging my own shit.
