I forget if I showed the beautiful Tyrian purple that they made in the synthesis chemistry lab that I collaborated with at the art museum. They’ve been synthesizing mostly blue pigments and dyes from throughout history. This was my first time seeing Tyrian purple in person and I was so excited!
Historically it was made from murex snails and was hugely expensive and used by royalty, but chemically it’s similar to indigo so the class was able to create it in the lab without snails.
doctor says im not cruel enough so i got prescribed a vial of dragon blood twice a day
any two among pearl, xb and xisuma please!!
What if I did all three?
I think the hyperspecific trio activity those three would do together is go to a water park and spend a full hour just chilling in inner tubers on the lazy river and chit chatting. Eventually Pearl gets bored and flips XB’s inner tuber over, so he of course flips hers over in retaliation. And then they both flip over Xisuma because he must get in on this.
it's okay if you as a lesbian want to fuck the straight blonde popstar but you can't be pretending she's a lesbian too girl at least make it a lesbian corruption kink or some shit
"taylor swift is a lesbian" check your house for mold
"I can fuck the heterosexuality out of sabrina carpenter" questionable taste, but much more respectable
I enjoy when people give me a hard time about using the term "sequential art" because they think it's just a pretentious way of saying "comics", because when I point out that "comics" and "sequential art" are overlapping but non-identical mediums, they invariably demand an example of sequential art that isn't comics, and I get to hit them with "PowerPoint presentations".
@urlocallesbiab replied:
i like how you said "overlapping" instead of "one being a wider category than the other" do you have any examples of comics that don't count as sequential art? (this isn't a gotcha question, this is me engaging in good-natured, sportsmanlike pedantry, along with expressing my curiosity)
It’s crazy that countries on the edge of the Sahara desert are reversing desertification by just digging half circles
The ground in these places is too compact for water to soak in during wet season which leads to flooding but digging these holes gives the water a place to stop and soak in. And they’re pushing back the desert with this. By just digging holes.
The new plants also help even more water soak into the ground which reduces flooding even more.
These places also give people places to grow food and graze animals like people are turning completely dry compact desert into a refuge for wildlife and plants and solving regional food insecurity just by digging holes.
The half-circles are called zaï! They're a traditional farming practice in the Sahel desert, and their introduction + reintroduction can be largely credited to Yacouba Sawadogo, the man linked above! He reintroduced and innovated on the zaï on his own farm in the 1980s, and did extensive outreach (along with scientist Mathieu Ouédraogo) to encourage other farmers to adopt them as well.
He also promoted the use of cordons pierreux, which are basically just lines of rocks to reduce erosion, preserve sediments, and increase water absorption.
Immensely cool dude. He's been a personal hero since I learned about him.

"fuck marry kill" is a stupid game. First of all, marriage is evil. Secondly, everyone must die.
they accidentally gave me the unheimlich manoeuvre and i choked to death in a distinctly uncanny way
your dni list says don’t interact if “you’re a pro-ed blog” and sorry if i’m out of touch but since when was it problematic to have ed? i get all the other things on your dni but this one really confuses me. and while i’ve never heard of a blog being pro-ed, it’s a real condition people suffer with and maybe having a pro-ed blog and supporting people who can’t get a boner is a good thing? that’s just my thoughts. but if having ed is problematic somehow please lmk why.

mmmmm i dunno
they dont look gay to me
but if theyre gay theyll be so boring
i just dont like the idea of them being gay it doesnt fit their character
the creator didnt explicitly say they were gay
oh they did? well that doesnt count they didnt say they were gay in the media so its not canon
i just dont see them as gay
im not homophobic its just that my first reaction when someone suggests they may be gay is to do everything in my power to disprove it
yeah the media hinted and made it clear through their lack of interest in women at every flirtation and through merch and their own words on their expirience/other people who know them incredibly well hinting at it but they didnt say the word gay
i dunno i heard the creator was gonna pair them up with a woman eventually. where? go do your research
i just think theyre wasting a lot of potential if theyre making them gay
theyd be so much more interesting if they werent gay
but look at the way they look at their female bestie CLEARLY theyre not gay
making them explicitly gay would ruin the fun for fandom so i hope its never outright confirmed
thats how you sound when you talk about aspec characters
