- Reviewed in the United States on March 28, 2020Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseI bought this book for the first time around 2014 straight out of my Algorithms class and when applying to join the competitive programming team in college. This book covers a wide variety of classes of problems, many of them known to the community for featuring on popular Online Judges. It's fairly easy to pick up the level of C++ in these problems and difficulties arise mostly due to lack of familiarity with the theory behind certain topics (Graph Theory, Combinatorics, Number Theory). Authors Steven and Felix Halim did a tremendous job of putting so much practical knowledge into this book, this is really a masterpiece.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 11, 2018Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseThis book literally helped me perform VERY well in my first Acm programming competion!! The tips and tricks in here are sooo relevant and good !! My goal is to memorize this book from front to back between now and my next competion in the fall of 2018
- Reviewed in the United States on May 31, 2019Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseThis review is not for the content of the book which is a good reference that recommended by my daughter's computer science teacher. The review I give is for the printing of the book from Lulu. It has the smallest font I've ever seen for all books. My eyes are hurting after reading a while. I could not understand why the publisher want to print it out in such a tiny font.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 28, 2018Format: PaperbackVerified PurchaseMy review is more towards the confusion surrounding this book
To end the confusion, this is a self published book, being printed by and shipped by Lulu
Now the main issue I have with these prints is that they are black and white, while the book originally has colour -this is why I think this book is deserving of 3 stars, while the content is likely 5 stars, the author should have provided an easy option to get it printed easily in colour, I don't know how much it costs, I'd pay it for a good book
I need to warn potential buyers that when they buy the book here, they still get a Lulu print, directly from Lulu, I don't know whether this applies to all sellers, but I'm guessing so - do the math - go for the cheapest option - or - if you are like me, get it custom printed

1.0 out of 5 stars Plain cheating . I want full refund
I paid 330Rupees and got only 2 pages. Then another website asks me to pay to convert rest of pages to pdf. This cheating must immediately stop.
