The Nokian Snowproof 1 and Snowproof 2 are both high-quality winter tires designed specifically for Central European winter conditions, with the Snowproof 2 featuring more advanced technologies and an improved tread design. Both tires have been specially developed for Central European winter conditions with a focus on snow, slush and wet conditions. The Snowproof 2 emphasizes premium winter grip in snow, while the Snowproof 1 is designed for reliable performance in snow, slush and improved wet performance.
The Nokian Snowproof 1 is designed for passenger cars. The Nokian Snowproof 2 is available for passenger cars as well as in a special SUV version optimized for powerful and high SUVs.
The Nokian Snowproof 2 is available in 18 sizes, from 185/65 R15 to 215/50 R19. The Snowproof 1 is available in sizes including 195/65 R15 91T and 205/60 R16 96H.
Both tires have a Driving Safety Indicator (DSI), which shows the remaining tread depth in millimetres. A tread depth of between 4 and 5 mm is recommended for safe winter driving. The snowflake symbol remains visible until the tread depth reaches 4 mm.
The Snowproof 2 offers the new SilentDrive™ technology for lower noise levels (initially in selected SUV sizes) and an improved Alpine Grip 2.0 rubber compound. It is also specially optimized for electric vehicles and available in a dedicated SUV version.
